Your sentiments are sound. But I'd encourage you to direct your efforts to participating at your local Republican Precinct level.

I sent money to Hoffman, I hope he wins.

I think Newt is getting a bad rap for wanting to honor local party selections - even when he thinks they're bad.

The cure here IMHO is to become active in the local party level and assert a conservative influence that way. I wrote a "way to long blog post" on this subject today if you care to check it out.
