????????????????????????????????

So what's the point here, Slim? Are you supporting this, not supporting it? What?

The International Association for the Study of Obesity's International Obesity Task Force (IOTF) produced a report in 2002 stating, "By the IOTF's international standards nearly 22% of boys and 27.5% of girls aged 2-15 were found to be overweight, including 5.5% of boys and 7.2% of girls who were obese in 2002. The IOTF analysis indicates a marked acceleration in the trend from the mid-1980s onwards." (http://www.iotf.org/childhood/) Other reports state that it might be as high as 1 in 10. If a government has any role whatsoever, surely it must be in the realm of public safety. Most ancient communities, and early cities were created for safety purposes. Public Health is a part of that, too. So what if some kids never hear about Cocoa Puffs until they're 18? Would you have the US start allowing cigarette commercials on TV again? Depending on your personal outlook, we either didn't evolve or weren't created to be fat. Fatness screws up our bodies. Why isn't it a good thing that a government tries to encourage good eating habits while we're young?

On Second Thought...

After finding out what marmite is, I can't imagine ANYONE wanting to eat that, no matter what.
