To Vote or Not to Vote, That is the question!

McCain might win.

McCain, who cohabitates with the slimy likes of Ted Kennedy, and worse, did not even get a change to read the amnesty bill that La Raza and Teddy wrote, and would have signed it anyway.

Many on the right must hold up our money and let this guy make some pledges that he will not sign bills on immigartion, Global Warming, higher taxes, or sicialized medicine and SCOTUS.

He needs to realize that he cannot makeover the R party with the silly putty moderates who have no clues about socialism or anything else.

Anything is possible

Not that it would matter. McCain will be almost as troublesome as Hillary would, but Obama would be a disaster.
McCain, if the MSM allows it, would be marginally better only if we hold his feet to the fire. The best way to do that is get enough R's in the house and senate that will FORCE him to. The problem with that statement is we don't have enough R's with enough b@lls to make that happen. At least with a D in the WH, they could fight like they had a pair.

Obama would be a disaster.

True.

Somewhere, we need to look at the concept that if we have a prosperous society then we can spend our money in ways that benefit us. Obama is an orthodox left liberal according to the NYT and has no policies that differ much from Hillary.

Our choice is essentially one between socialism and coventional capitalism. Hillary is a Marxis radical. Obama is just a liberal.

McCain, however, has thrown in with Feingold, Kennedy and Libermann on socialist type legislation. He is still an open-border type person.

If McCain wins, he needs to be steered back to the right of center. If Obama or Hillary wins, then sell short and wait out the job and stock markets as they wiil certainly crash.

I agree with some reservation. Obama is rated as the MOST liberal in the senate right now.
I don't see our choices including conventional capitalism.
Obama has already stated that he has bought into the class envy, is a proponent of AGW, and thinks tax increases are our only solution. As long as we keep soaking the people that create the jobs, there will be no alternative other than socialism.
Funny how McCain carries allot of the very same traits.
With Hillary, you're absolutely right, she is pure Marxist power hungry ruler type. We might be forced to call her Queen before it's all over...

All scary libs

Mark "Amnesty" John down as a lib lite, Hillary and Obama have wandered off into V.I. Leninland. I agree that focus has to be on the congressional and senatorial races.

Just how solid on the borders issue are Cornyn and Hutchinson? It strikes me that I remember Cornyn being part of the "backroom" deal, and if I'm not mistaken Hutchinson had a hand in stripping the fence money out of the bill.

That's not a disagreement on my part, rather, take it as an information request.

iffy at best

Cornyn has been pretty good all around on conservative issues, including illegal immigration. He's been sort of lone horse. I keep a close eye on the Texas Senatorial votes and find myself sending him thank you notes more than chastisement.
Kay is another story. She, in the recent past, has been just as good as Cornyn, but in the last 2 years has started doing the "Compassionate Conservative" thing, looking toward the Governors mansion.
in '07, I can recall sending her no less than 8 letters condemning her votes on SCHIP, Immigration Reform, and Protect America Act. She voted, finally to support PAA, but voted wrong on SCHIP.
Hutchinson went from a 92 ACU rating in '05 to 84 in '06, which still isn't that bad, but shows a downward trend.
Cornyn, on the other hand was 96 in 05 and 96 in '06, which in my book is not only good, but consistent.
My congressman (Kevin Brady) went from a 96 rating in 05, to an 88 in 06, so he sees some of my mail as well, but overall is much better than most, so he does get atta boys quite often.
I think it's just as important to let them know when they do good as when they do bad. Gives you a little more credibility, in my book.
