good job Garnet. This pesky truth stuff sure PO's some people off around here. Sulking is how I'd describe it. Maybe glowering if we could see them. But the aim is true, we need to know the truth. I'd want to know about it if Palin was dirty, and then adjust my opinion accordingly. The issue here is politics vs. principles, and where they diverge.

Agreed, I wnat to know both good and bad
I don't want to be blindsided by some accusation that she did something wrong. If it was wrong, I want to know it - i.e., the tax increase on the oil companies. But, so far, after a LOT OF RESEARCH, she is really, really what she appears to be, clean. I'm going to post a link to a real good information site - that has data for all candidates - the best source that I've seen so far. That'll be later tonight or tomorrow.

Again, good job. I try to keep an open mind, the problem is not so much with Palin, especially as more about her stands becomes available,my problem is,and will remain, the one ACTUALLY sitting in the O.O. should the ticket be successful. I just wish others could look at this through the prism of WHO actually is at the top of the ticket, his views, positions, past deeds, and ASK themselves, how does this change McCain? Instead of "Wow,look at who McCain picked"!

Actually, you make a good point. I think that most of us (myself included) believe that we know enough about McCain to make a decision. But, I really haven't done much digging on him. I did some research recently on the Keating issue but that's it. I think that I will do a more complete assessment on Johnny Mc in the next week or so. Thanks for raising the issue.
Regards,
G.

Good job on this research
It is interesting that the tax rate on oil companies was already 22.5%, yet that wasn't enough for the state to get by on? I want to see more on that. So far, that is the only issue I have seen that makes me wonder about her.
I would also like to see her take McCain to ANWR and Prudhoe Bay and show him (and a team of reporters if they will do it) how drilling in ANWR would work. I think it would be a big deal to see her change his mind on the issue.

Wil, she may be doing just that
I read an account that indicated that Sarah had something to do with John's changing his mind on the offshore drilling issue and she said that she will be working on him to change his position on ANWR. I guess we all have to "stay tuned."

I found a link to an article
on Investors Business Daily, talking in specifics about what she has done on the energy issue, the details about her negotiations with Canada and her own legislature to get the pipeline deal done, and the fact that she has already had done environmental impact studies to clear the way for natural gas drilling in some locations....she needs to talk energy, she has apparently really done a lot in that area.

Thanks wil
I picked up that IBD article and have added it to my Palin file. Some good stuff in it. I do appreciate the link.
