A Question of Experience.

Stop the spin

We are doomed! This was a bad choice and we need to recall this pick. We need someone with less baggage. Senator Olympia Snow for VP! Wach this link;

Well Done

Great job on presenting the facts on Governor Palin.

Ignore the naysayers and keep on working! There are a great many of us who appreciate the choice John McCain made and we will all be working hard to make sure that McCain/Palin is successful

It is a Question of Experience

I am so happy that someone could point out all of the fabulous work that Sarah, as she likes to be called, has done in Alaska.

I really wish that she wouldn't have highlighted the whole "woman" aspect of her selection. I am 36 years old and not in my lifetime has there been the issue of gender or race in my mind when evaluating people. It bothers me when "they" claim that Sarah's selection or Obama's nomination are historic.

In the second grade I told my teacher that I was going to be the President some day. I grew to realize that it isn't a job that I want, but there was never a question in my mind as to whether or not I would be limited by being a female.

Sometimes I feel like we have regressed. I can see that Sarah is a woman; she didn't need to point it out to me. It really doesn't enter into my decision making process. The work that she has done in her career and her stand on the issues is what I care about. And, when you look at Sarah's record, I think it speaks for itself. So we haven't had a woman president yet, there are a lot of other demographic groups that haven't had a president yet. Who cares? Let's choose the right person for the job. Be an individual. Don't make yourself part of a group. Sarah is clearly an individual and I believe she is the right individual for the job.

Well Written and Informative

Mr. Hu I learned alot about Palin by reading your blog. It was very informative. I know many people in Montana can relate to Palin. In truth she does have less experience than Hillary. Funny how experience is not a prerequisite.

She is very different than Hillary. She is of the people in the rest of the US. Not educated at Yale or Harvard.

She has a baby with Downs Syndrome and a teenage daughter who is pregnant. Unlike Hillary, whose one and only daughter is ivy league educated, working and unmarried. Palin's family is large.

Some women are critical of Palin for not being there for her children. Hillary on the other hand has already raised her daughter.

Welcome

To townhall.com, Robin. Very nice to have you.

After doing several hours of research into Ms. Palin's background, I commend you on a very well written, factual article. To try and compare Obama's experience in leadership positions with Palin's is a joke at best. This decision by McCain is the best of his campaign and he will be better off for it.

Great info and great to have you with us.

Learned something that made me happy

While I am not a republican I can appreciate the very informative comparison here. I would have had to have read over 30 articles combined to get what you have done here. Most political rants are nothing but that...rants.

This is concise and I actually learned some things that made me (an independant who leans on the democratic side)respect Ms. Palin a bit more. The fact that she protected the rights of homosexual partners was a big surprise to me and made me look at her in a different light...a better light. Thanks for that.

Perhaps in your next article you can explain to me why she has compassion and understanding in that area but expects a woman who is raped or a victim of incest to carry a child to term if that is against her wishes. Sincerely, I'd love to hear your take on her beliefs in that area.

Well done.
