No need to silence anyone

No need to silence the people clamoring for a fence: just *ignore* them.

Let me ask a question: who benefits from a fence? The government? The people providing schools and medical services? Elected officials?

The only beneficiaries I can think of (other than the union workers who will build and maintain the thing) are certain voters who THINK (but can't prove) that they're being cheated out of their social security and who THINK (but can't prove) that their tax money is going to support ultra-low skilled workers who take more than they contribute to the economy.

These supposed beneficiaries are EASY to ignore. Promise them a fence, then do nothing. Trivial. Of course you do nothing because the people who DON'T want the fence are MUCH more prominent in your life. Teacher's unions, #1. They DON'T want a fence because they need the increasing numbers of new youngins. Civil servants #2. They don't want the fence because they need the large numbers of clients coming over and using gov't services. Medical professionals #3 don't want a fence because they need their illegal clientele.

Who wants the fence? Paranoid white trailer-trash living on socsec and medicare who are easy to lie to and ignore. And a few hundred members of the concrete-pourer's union.

Who doesn't want the fence? Everyone in politics and everyone who gets money from the gov't, which is an astounding number of professionals and union tradesmen.

Ask Jerry the Mathematician to calculate the odds that the fence will be built.
