America's Future in Question?

Remember, "it took Carter to get Reagan," as it is widely said among conservatives. At least then we still had the GOP.

As "America as we know it" disappears, so it seems the GOP is becoming the "incredible shrinking party."

I guess that is music to the ears of "Conservatives, not Republicans."

If corrupt men come to power, they can govern as they wish within the constraints of constitutional authority. Our fellow countrymen are not yet ready for a dictator.

The GOP can make critical gains in the upcoming elections, if they make immediate strides toward greater racial diversity, and target the hypocrisy of Democrats with well planned leaks of Democrat knowledge of Bush interrogation tactics.

Good post. Amazing that our previous administration is being charged with keeping our country safe and saving civilian lives. The left would rather look good to other countries than protect Americans that could be in serious danger. And the terrorists could care less whether we water-board them or not, they'll never stop their attacks on us. The left continue to live in an alternate universe to the endangerment of every one of us.

The incredible shrinking party...will be even smaller after ACORN is done with re-organizing the elections. Think of how many times leftists can vote!

That's the problem...corrupt men don't work within the constraints that patriots do. If their goal is to change the constitution, with a super majority they can get away with just about anything, with nothing to stop them. Look at what they've done already, in only 100 days.

What mechanism would stop them, if they don't adhere to the constitution?

The prob is the left doesn't realize they are a target just like everyone else, when it comes to terrorists who hate America.

Do they think they are exempt? The extremists would just as soon blow up a leftist as anyone else...

I hope we can agree, also that now is the time to recruit racially diverse and competent Republicans to run in the upcoming elections. The GOP will have to embrace abortion and homosexual marriage, or they will have to embrace racial diversity with a sense of urgency, in order to avoid becoming a regional party. These are the issues on the table; and, if compromise we must, I support aggressively pursuing racial diversity, to build a sustainable governing majority. If you consider my assessment inaccurate, please tell me what issue(s) you think the Republicans must compromise on to build a majority.

I don't think we really need to compromise, but we do have to be able to show Americans that they agree with conservative ideas overall.

If we can recruit based on our superior ideas, and what is best for the country, we'll be better off.

Most minorities live conservatively, so it should be a given that they would vote Republican. We need to make our case, in a positive way! Our ideas are the best. It's the challenge of the media being leftists.

Do we have a future? Just kidding. I know we do, but what does it look like?

I don't think we are going to dry up or freeze away with global warming.

I have to say a lot of this administratin makes me feel ill. I still to this day never ever connected with Obama because he is so phony. He never speaks from the heart. Maybe he should try it, he just might actually sound like a human being and not a robot.

And with Janet at Homeland Security, that is just the worse. I am sorry, but I don't feel safe with her at the helm. Wait do we have a Homeland Security czar yet? :)

I believe conservative ideas on how to run the country are certainly better than those offered by the other side; but, for us to have those ideas implemented we will have to get better candidates. Moreover the GOP should already have its election strategy for the next election cycle up and running. Do you see a coherent, appealing, and effective strategy being implemented?

At the moment there is one focus by the slobbering media...and we all know what that is.

Until the elections get a little closer we won't be seeing much, I don't think in the way of strategy. It's a too early, but evidently Steele is raising more money for the RNC than the libs are...that is a good sign.

It will all depend on whether we still have honest elections. If we have a nationwide ACORN style election, all bets are off.
