Rhetorically maybe. But when it suited her political purposes she embrassed them.
The biggest of the Alaskan ol' boys is Ted Stevens. From 2003 to 2005 Palin was a director for the TED STEVENS EXCELLENCE IN PUBLIC SERVICE Inc.
A year later, Palin makes a commercial for her campaign featuring the endorsement of the infamous Sen Stevens where he exhorts Alaskans to vote for Palin because she is the type of politician they needed to replace him and other members of the old guard.
