A few comments

On the popular image of the devil:
C.S. Lewis had a little bit to say on that, as placed in the mouth of the 'Senior Tempter' Screwtape, titular character of "The Screwtape Letters".

I'm probably going to misquote this a bit, but it ran something like this:

"If he* should start to think about the possibility you might exist, then paint in his mind a picture of a man in red tights, with horns and a tail, and convince him that, because he cannot believe in this image, that you must not be real."

*('He' refers to the man that Wormwood, the demon Screwtape is corresponding with, has been assigned to lead astray.)

And I'm a bit curious as to your last few comments. I acknowledge that we won't be able to, as some have claimed in past times, create God's Kingdom on earth. (That's His job, and will be done in His time.) I am confused, however; you appear to be advocating a total surrender as those who follow wickedness claim the leadership of this country. (Admittedly, the evidence seems to indicate that's already well advanced.) Is this the case, or am I misreading what you have written? And if I am misreading your words, would you mind clarifying for me what I am incorrectly seeing in them?
