Congrats!

Congrats on your recent graduation.

As I've gotten older, I figured out a few things. One is that stupidity and evil look the same from far enough away. Imagine you go out to your car tomorrow and find a scratch down the length of it. It may have been caused deliberately by a vandal or accidentally by a 9 year old on his new bike. Either way, it costs you a new paint job.

Part two of this principle is that evil requires no effort. Say your little brother leaves his roller skates on the stairs after school. He goes out to play and the booby trap is set. Mom comes home with arm loads of groceries and a list of all the things she needs to do to run the house. Until she notices the skates, calamity is around the corner, but even after she notices them, she must stop doing "good" and undo the "bad".

While I agree that prioritizing issues makes sense, I am convinced that no leftist issue is too small to take seriously.

Have fun with your blog, enjoy your summer and hug your mom and dad often.

Not The President's Job

Good points. I wish we had a viable candidate in the POTUS campaign right now who would say "This is not something the federal government should be involved with" about many issues.

Unfortunately, we don't. The problem is, Leftists in Congress and activists on the benches make these things federal issues, and we need to counter them.

When the people of a state vote for something directly, and that is counteracted by the margin of a single judge, that's a problem. That judge is not protecting anyone's rights - state-issued marriage licenses are NOT a right. So now we have a minority imposing its will on a majority.
