HOW DID WE GET WHERE WE ARE TODAY?

By your comment that Mexicans "are taking those jobs that must be done & that no one else will do" I can tell that you know absolutely nothing about this issue and you are simply regurgitating Bush's propaganda. The pro-illegal immigration and open borders crowd would have you beleive that the only jobs that Mexicans come here to do are menial, back breaking jobs that "Americans wont do." This is total B.S. I have worked in the building trades for 30 years. I started out as a 3rd generation carpenter. In the old days, a kid that wasn't headed to college, either by choice or apptitude, could learn a trade & earn an honest living with benefits & retirement. Over the last decade or so the majority of those good paying jobs have been taken by Mexicans & Central Americans who will happily work for lower pay with no benefits. Those jobs are no longer available for most of Americas youth because people like you and Bush have classified those jobs as the ones "that Americans wont do."
