Hitler Liberated The German Speaking People of the Sudetenland

Now I was just a ten-year old when I was in the Sudetenland. I was in the center of the glass industry - Gablonz, as it was called then, and neighboring communities. Everyone there spoke German - in school, at home, on the street, on the playground. Maybe there is still more of the "rest of the story".

If you check your history, you'll realize that the Sudentenland region was for many hundreds of traditionally and historically German speaking and ethnically Germanic. It was part of Austria-Hungary and was made part of an until then unknown country called Czechoslovakia.

Once again, the treaty of Versailles comes to the forefront as a major cause of WW II.
