What the average American doesn't equate with taxes is that when taxes are levied, the money is collected at the point of a gun, whether it is expressed or merely implied.
Also, about the newspaper thing, good luck putting that to practice. There is a good free publication in Keene, New Hampshire. I saw it had an article that was "dugg" over 1000 times. Here is their website
