Reform in Michigan ??

When will the people see they've got to take responsiblity for change, and not rely on the corrupt union mentality to lull them asleep while the ship sinks? Good one JDW.

Down here in Texas, we knew Michigan was being taxed to death by Democrats when we saw the first national ad from the Michigan chamber, with actor Jeff Daniels bragging on how great Michigan is.

Nobody runs ads bragging about their state's business-friendly environment unless--

They are hemorrhaging businesses and taxpayers, and--

Their business environment (taxation, regulation) is outright hostile and destructive, causing said bleedout.

New Orleans ran celebrity ads bragging on how much fun it is and how you should go there, right after Katrina. Worst time to go there, but they needed the tourism revenue. They'll do it again after this hurricane.

Michigan is still running that national ad campaign last time I checked.

Unfortunately, you are also correct. The unions have a stranglehold on Michigan, relative to other states. Companies don't want to be held hostage by them, so they avoid us like the plague. Of course there are exceptions, but it is a fact.
