Hate directed at Catholics, Evangelicals & Mormons. Why not Muslims?

They Demonstrate Why We Needed 8

Their attitude towards these churches did not start with Prop 8. Prop 8 was needed, in part, because of the attitude of these protesters.

And yeah, it is really curious... why not protest outside of Mosques?

Interesting...

The guy in picture 3, holding the sign w/ the swastika on it and wearing the Obama/Biden t-shirt? Perhaps someone should have informed him that Obama OPPOSES same-sex marriage, on RELIGIOUS grounds:
“I’m a Christian... And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman.”

Silly liberals.

Exactly!!!

They will only accuse of intolerance those that they know are TOLERANT and won't retaliate. The protesters won't picket the mosque because they know there is a serious risk of retaliation. Reminds me of a story about an "artist" that displayed some christian symbols in very disrespectful ways in order to protest the stifling constraints and suffering caused by the christian religion. Asked why the artist didn't do a similar display to protest islam, he remarked "are, you kidding me, that would be dangerous, I would fear retribution". So the popular image of the brave, defiant artists (lefties, etc) is just a facade...they protest only when it's no risk....wow, what bravery.

Why not Muslims?

For the same reason animal rights activists throw red paint on Beverly Hills matrons wearing mink, not bikers wearing leather - they know who will react civilly, and who won't.

Why not Black churches?

In Obamas campaign to get out the black vote, 70% of them voted in favor of the ban!

Where is the protest against blacks???

Rosanne Barr fills the void

The woman (or would that be 'womyn'?) who made a mockery of our National Anthem, is going after Churches whose membership happens to have a majority of folks who happen to be black.

"As they overwhelmingly supported America's first chance to elect a person of color and strike a death blow to racism, they also went out of their way to misuse their votes (no doubt at the behest of their immoral and hateful pastors and clergy) to isolate and punish a small minority of citizens, and to deny them basic civil rights."

You gotta love Liberal-Left Tolerance.

Will this lead the black community to reflect on always voting Democrat? I certainly hope so, but I don't expect much change on that front.

Why not Muslims?

Why not Muslims? They didn't contribute $20 million in political donations while remaining tax-free. One or the other, please. Had they done so, they too would be targeted.

And in other news... you probably don't know this, it hasn't made the national news.

A Transgendered woman was recently beaten up by police in a Memphis watch-house. Nothing new there, one held her down, the other used handcuffs as brass knuckles. It happens.

This time though it was caught on CCTV, and the tape leaked. Oops. Officers fired, FBI involved...

Well, last night she was shot once in the head, and died at the scene. With their main witness gone, the FBI case could collapse.

Now you'd think that something like this might get publicised. I doubt that the Memphis police were involved, myself, but something like this does need looking at.

It's really, really difficult arguing against the Leftist Loonies and complete Moonbats when this kind of thing happens, and it's hushed up like this.

The Memphis incident

If it went down as ZoeB describes, absolutely should be looked into. It is not difficult to argue against Leftist Moonbats when stuff like that goes on, unless you condone that kind of abuse of power, which no one hears, as far as I know, has. It is a losing tactic to hold those you are arguing with equal to the worst kind of hatred and bigotry. Does the world have to become a place of purity, love and light before we stand up against the Bigoted tactics of the Homosexual Left in America?

Regarding the matter of donations and what gets you church protested: It is a sad commentary on the Homosexual Left when they have more hate for people who express their faith peacefully in the public square by supporting citizen initiatives, then they do for people whose coreligionists express their faith in the public square by stoning homosexuals to death.

Why not Muslims? Here's the real reason

Speaking as a former Yes on 8 activist:

Muslims were not prominently part of the campaign. Our list of institutional endorsers had plenty of churches and a few Jewish organizations, but no Muslim groups or mosques.

Muslims made no high-profile endorsements for Prop 8, or public contributions.

It is not even clear that Muslims cared about Prop 8.

I was working mainly on Christian outreach, but I was wondering about how successful our outreach to Muslims was. I contacted my source, a person (a genuinely moderate Muslim) connected with different different parts of the Muslim community. He said that they had not been approached by the campaign, and that Muslims were not concerned about the issue.

Prop 8 opponents have very good reason to concentrate on Mormons and to leave Muslims alone. Mormons were the biggest single player for Prop 8; Muslims were not on the scene. Whatever some Muslims may do to homosexuals in other countries, they are a neutral player here.

Obviously a fake pic......

A group of gay men in public and not one strutting around with his shirt off....please,it's gotta be fake!
