Open Letter to Bill O’Reilly

yep

well said, he has nothing to apologize for, and he should continue to criticize the left for their ecstasy in thinking of a larger government.

InTheNow

Bill explained that IN HIS OPINION he felt that anyone who was IN FAVOR of harm to America or Americans SPECIFICALLY because it would harm Obama was an ideologue. Anyone who opposes him on Philosophical Grounds has a legitimate gripe.

Eric

O’Reilly normally says what’s on his mind, despite the PC police. I hope he continues to do so.

Georgetwin

I must have missed those comments.

I was referring to his remarks during a discussion with Glenn Beck. I normally agree with Bill’s opinion. However, I got the distinct impression from the segment that O’Reilly considers anyone hoping Obama fails an ideologue. Perhaps he was just playing the devil’s advocate, which he sometimes does.

Thanks for the info.

Thank you for calling O'reilly's

attention to his miss-step. He frequently seems to patronize Obama and I'd like very much for him to stop it. There are enough Dimocrats out there tooting Obama's horn without any of our conservative guys doing it. I also wish they'd quit praising his articulation. I really don't care about the words Obama speaks since he speaks with forked tongue most of the time. Empty dishonest rhetoric is far from eloquent speech in my book.

well, I'm rambling, but anyway thanks Skep for your letter to O'Reilly. I hope he read it and owned it.

Boy I really did ramble.

Got way off subject, but I'm tired and my feet hurt. Is that a good enough excuse? I hope so.

Apologize to Helen Thomas that old crone? No way. She is a hideous liberal traitor in my opinion. There should be ice skating in hades before anybody apologizes to her.

Furthermore, Obama isn't meandering towards socialism........he's rushing at breakneck speed and I'm no idealogue, I'm a realist.

Amen & goodnight.

My face is very red.

First time I've had to comment X3 to cover my errors, but here goes. I referred to you as Skep. I'll just use my previous tired and painful feet excuse and hope you'll overlook my bumbling. Appreciate it ITN. I'll do better next time. (:-

I saw this exchange with Bill and Glenn. I was surprised at what Bill kept saying. I ususally will agree with him myself.

And I do not feel that he needs to apologize to Helen Thomas. If he did, maybe he can call it a "so called" apology.

The other thing I don't agree with Bill is him stating many times over that ACORN is not getting any money. Yes, Bill, they are. It is hidden in the bill. It had to be buried because people found in the TARP I and now they are creative about it.

ITN

Amen, brother. I, for one, am getting fed up with folks calling many of us "idealogues" as if that invalidates our argument. Call me partisan, call me neo-con, call me idealogue, it doesn't change what BHO is doing, which is exactly what he said he was going to do...create cradle to grave socialistic policies that guarantee Dem wins across the board forever. And we will continue to call the left on it every time.

Pithy and well stated. Bill loves pithy without bloviation.

Bobbie

Don’t fret the missteps. I’m grateful for your efforts to bring likeminded bloggers together. Only united do we stand any chance of derailing Obama’s socialist agenda.

Sue

I hope Bill’s rhetoric get’s tougher concerning Obama’s polices. He needs to give the anointed one the Barney Frank treatment. Treating him with kid gloves only minimizes the danger Obama poses.

bdubya

I couldn’t have said better!

InTheNow

As I recall, he was playing Devil's Advocate at the time. I myself, DO NOT wish harm on America just to harm Obama. But the way things ae going, I fear the 2 events may be inseperable.

Good Letter, ITK

Hit the nail on the head. I heard the exchange and I heard the same thing you did.

Maybe if I wrote more pithily (is that a word?), I wouldn't get all the blather in return from my elected officials.

Thanx for sharing your letter.

Mrs. AL

AL

Thanks for commenting. “Pithily” is the adverb form of pithy...looked it up. I’d never thunk it.

ITN

Wow, it's a word. Thanx for looking it up! Guess I should have, sometimes I get lazy.

Sorry I flubbed your moniker on my last post. Mrs AL inherited Mr.McGoo's eye sight.

good letter ITN

As Georgetwin pointed out, Bill O. has made that distinction, but he hasn't made it enough and his own words are being used against him by liberals saying that even Bill wants Obama to succeed. I do have to say that he has given Obama the benefit of the doubt quite a lot and gets slapped in the face with Obama's real agenda. Bigger government control over our everyday lives. Bill can say that Obama isn't stupid enough to go down that road all he wants, but Bill hasn't taken into account how stupid Americans might be and might not hold Obama accountable for his actions. I mean, what the hell happened in this last election?! New post up. Stop by when you can.

INTHENOW

It seems at times, he is trying to play both sides of the fence with Obama. And he does need to get tougher on these policies.

Jesse

Bill’s support for Obama’s success contradicts his writings in Culture Warrior. By default, Obama’s triumph means implementing a system and culture contrary to traditional and/or conservative values. Assuming O’Reilly holds these same values, his statements make no sense.

As for the average American voter...they’re obviously easily swayed by the MSM. No great revelation, but I wrongly assumed most were smarter than the media served propaganda. Doesn’t bode well for the future.

The RNC may have to adopt a similar strategy that the dems successfully employed against Bush. That is, pander to the lowest common denominator of the voting public by demonizing the candidate. Undecided voters too stupid to understand and rationally ingest the issues can be brought over via their emotions. A tough order considering MSM loyalties.

ITN

you don't have to believe in Republicanism or conservatism to want Obama to fail. That's what O'Reilly seems to be missing. Simple Americanism rejects the Socialism of Obama and the Democrat party. Good post.

Dave

It seems like a no-brainer. Not sure why O’Reilly ignores the obvious. It’s out of character.
