I believe it was her own majesty Peelousi who said, "If we ever get the super majority of house, senate, and Whitehouse, we will implement policy that will assure we can never again lose it."

By changing the rules by which the House operates (their prerogitive), the Deficrats have locked out the minority members, held closed-door secret meetings, permanently tabled approval of appointees, coerced fellow Deficrats, threatened "martial law" in the House, proposed HRs not even of their creation, ignored impeachable "bad behavior" of SCOTUS, chose to take punitive action on legal firings of federal attorneys, targeted former VP as authorizing torture when it can't define actions as such, investigates the advice given by staff counsel as illegal, and publicly admit that they are not bound, legally, by the Constitution when they choose to ignore it.

THESE United States have become THE United States.

The Apollo Alliance is just a glimpse of what we face in future elections. Formidable!

The PRIMARY elections of 2010 are the REALLY CRITICAL elections if voting out incumbents is the goal. It is in the PRIMARY ELECTIONS that the incumbents must defeated by newcomers. If not, it will be incumbents as the candidate for their party in the general election.

We can't allow them to be on the ballot in the GENERAL ELECTION.

You got it started VB, don't stop now!

I don't want to sound alarmist, but...

I'm telling everyone to have a Plan B. So many businessmen I know (whose true Constitutional character I doubt when the chips are down to one)are flag wavers, but only to about the end of the front driveway.
Most of them actually think our economic woes are economic, and not political, and everything will be OK once that rights itself....not realizing that when it does, it will have shrunk about 20%. Inadvertently they've been wishing for 20% of their colleagues to go out of business, just so long as it isn't them.
We can;t afford to put all our eggs into on election basket. We have to keep lighting little fires.
But the 2010 primaries are critical, as you say. This is where we find out if the New Rebels are going to make common cause with the GOP, or as they did with M'Cain, take they ball and go back home.
I figure the GOP needs to have about 65% give, in both candidates and platform, but the Rebels also have to be willing to give, and this, on a local level.
At every step, we need to pray for leadership...and so far, we ain't got it.
