OBAMA'S PLAN FOR HEALTH CARE DEPRESSION (REVISED WITH A NEW APPENDIX)

A point well made by the O,

explained more to me about who he is and how he hates the free market system and capitalism and is actually a divider versus a uniter, I hadn't heard him say this before but he claims he has.
"And I've said this before, if you found out that your neighbor had gotten the same car for $6,000 less, you'd want to figure out how to get that deal. And that's what reform is all about."

I say this is what making all things equal and under his control is about, not to mention violation of anti-trust laws because isn't this called price fixing. If the car dealer is a better salesman than you are a shopper why in hell is that any business of obamas?
I have said many times he lives in a lalaland utopia but you said it best Apollo; It's the audacity of hope it only exists in Obama's infantile, Michael Jackson-like Neverland brain.
He is the ultimate lib a total whack job.

RE & Apollo

Why think that the free market system is workable for all situations? In fact, why conclude that those who don't think that the free market system works for health, then they hate the system.

All Obama is doing, and it is too conservative, is trying to spread the wealth between channeling business to the health insurance companies and insuring more people. It is inadequate because we should have a single-payer system instead. But the objections I am hearing is by people who have been taught that to give to those who don't have has the prerequisite of requiring that those who have more than enough must sacrifice. In other words, those who have are afraid of paying the sacrifice that they require the have-nots to.

Finally, apply the free market system to health care. If I can't afford a car, I can use public transportation. If I can't afford a TV, I can go without. What if I can't afford Health Care? You might reply with the "let them eat cake" response that there is always the emergency room but that is not the case.

GOV'T HEALTH CARE HEAVEN?

Show us evidence that government can deliver superior medical services and healthcare to the sick and diseased than the marketplace? Stop quibbling and give us examples of government healthcare heaven. If you can find just one example it would help Obama's failing cause and he will reward you with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Not having healthcare doesn't

stop many hyphenated Americans and illegals or even real Americans from getting free govt healthcare right now. If you can't afford insurance you will still get taken care of. Govt intervention made it illegal to turn you away. So if we already have free healthcare why do we need to destroy the economy for something that is? The only answer is it aint about healthcare at all it's about being a communist with him as lord and controller. It's about destroying a country with the main race that he hates, knocking them down to size and returning the wealth to who it really belongs to, in his case him, IT'S all about Him.
Apollo you are correct no one can show us a healthcare heaven run by govt because it does not exist. Govt needs to stick to the Constitution and quit letting osama bin obama try to convert it to a document that outlines what he can do to us, because you better believe that anything he has in mind aint gonna be good for you. I refuse to become a communist.

RE

Amen. Better dead than ObamaRed

Apollo,

Thanks a million, Just so's you know, I'm using that line from now on. I have a lifelong friend that's as redheaded as you can get and that was his favorite rhyme, I can't wait to talk to him and give him the new version it'll be sure to tickle him as much as me. Thanks RE

Apollo

Simply, look at the people who cannot pay for that health care and who do not have adequate insurance. And when was the last time you received health care from a country with socialized medicine. The feedback I get from people who have is that they received great health care. In fact, I have a friend who is doing informal research on this and he is finding what I have heard from friends who lived in countries with socialized medicine.

Only arrogance allows one to assume that what they have is the best.

WHAT HEALTH CARE CRISIS?

There is no healthcare crisis in America. The vast majority of Americans get adequet to excellent health care to service their medical needs. Horror stories are the exception to the rule. The debate is over rising unsustainable costs driven by two main factors: medical lawsuits and illegal aliens-both problems of which continue under Obamacare which is why the CBO says it solves nothing.

Apollo

According to the CBO, 45 million nonelderly people, I subtracted out the alien population, do not have health care insurance while, according to other sources, at least 25 million have inadequate coverage. Add to that that health care cost is a leading cause for personal bankruptcy and approximately 30% of Americans delay treatment because of costs. See, we don't have a health care crisis unless you are one of 1/4 of Americans.

In the meantime, those who have not traveled abroad assume we have the best health care in the world.

It seems that the essence of American conservatism is to assume one's own country is the best at everything. So that the carrot that American conservatism holds in front its constituents is a feeling of significance by assuming superiority. And yet, the stats point to people in other countries as having better health and living longer.

HEALTH CARE HEAVEN AND PERFECTION

I didn't say no one had a "health care crisis" in America. There is no health care system on earth free of hardship cases and crises: Britain, France, Canada, Germany offer horror stories galore. Disembling politicians like the president who promise a crisis free system, healthcare heaven and perfection, are either power grabbing liars or well meaning utopian ignoramuses who believe their own lies-and the biggest lie of all: GOVERNMENT CAN FIX ANYTHING.

Apollo

I think we can agree that every health care system has tradeoffs. The question becomes which set of tradeoffs does the general population prefer?

TRADEOFFS? WHAT TRADEOFFS?

Problem is our shameless liar of a president denies that there are any tradeoffs. He says that under Obamacare the only thing that we'll lose is "paying for things that don't make us healthy." Meaning there is no downside to Obamacare, no tradeoffs. It means that under Obamacare what is good in our existing system will be dramatically improved and at a much lower cost to everyone no matter how many new people come into the system. It's as if my car breaks down, for what ever reason, and instead of fixing it the mechanic for the price of the repair work offers me a brand new car. That is the snake oil that Obama is peddling to America.

Apollo

Obama's problem is that he wants to increase the spending at all levels, both domestic and military. That is very serious threat to the economy partially because of the place that the Republicans put the economy in before and because we are borrowing money from foreign countries.

But to not increase domestic spending is to treat at least 1/4 of the American people as if they don't count--which is what we have been doing. This is one of the reasons why America has the highest incarceration rate in the world. People tend not to respect a system that does not respect them. And yet, many of the children of this sector go off and fight wars in our armed services for corporate interests.
