GOP Candidates Superior But Mathews Was a Dud

I didn't watch...

..Scatbug had the mallet.

Really?

You're not just saying that to make me feel better? (a hopeful lol)

We're about 6 hours behind I believe and I missed most of it. By the time I got home, I saw the tail end of a rerun of the debate and thought Hunter lacked the glitz of the others. This is so frustrating because I was really warming to him as someone that could unite most on the Right and someone we could "sell" to the rest of America.

I agree Romney looked good. Rudy actually sounded affable. The old Sam was back. McCain appeared calm and assuring (but if he mentioned Reagan's name one more time I would have started deducting points!)

Mathews

Total Enemedia shill. Can't stand the guy, and last night made me feel even deeper about it. Interestingly, Drudge poll of almost 80,000 some people have Romney having "won". What that means I don't know or if that translates to votes. But Fred wrote a great piece today.

Sheila

I was live-blogging the event, which I think worked well in telling and analyzing the story.

Didn't see it...

Was sleeping.

But I'll tell you, I dislike Matthew's. The guy is so biased. I really don't see how anyone takes him seriously.

Hey everyone!

Thanks for stopping by. I was curious about the TH take on the candidates and the debate...

Jimmy

The mallet...ha funny...

you probably represent a good portion of the population who just think it's too early to be paying attention...

Glad there was no mallet damamge!...;)

Sanity

Hmmm, interesting...I thought McCain was OK, but not as good as the others I mentioned. I'm talking strickly from a standpoint of how they appeared in the debate...and if they looked presidential...

My paper here on the Left Coast had headlines that read "First Republican Clash"...which I thought was a weird way of putting it, since it really wasn't a "clash" at this point...

I did feel (other than Ron Paul and Tommy Thompson) that our candidates sounded and appeared far superior to the mind-numbed socialist candidates.

dave

I can't figure out what qualified Mathews to moderate...

I would have to agree with the poll that said Romney won. He is really sharp, and has the experience, and the looks, which in this day and age seems to be a key issue...

He really is a handsome guy, articulate, personable, and qualified to be president...do you think he can beat Hill or BO?

What do you think would have happened if Thompson had been in the fray?

Scatbug

Sounds like the mallet didn't have a chance...coming over...:)

V Daddy

Me too...Mathews is a hack if there ever was one...he was pathetic.

Guys

For a post-debate take on a different aspect of the debate, check out my blog.

It's not about Matthews, who is a weird choice for a debate among Repubs, if you think about it.

Wasn't Brit Hume available?

BrianR

I imagine that Brit will step in when they actually get to debates that mean something. For last night's circus, a carnival barker was appropriate.

Sheila

Mathews qualified because he's the biggest Bush hater on MSNBC. Romney did look good - I'm getting interesting opinions about Fred vs. Romney, or Rudy - Enemedia spin to filter through - I'm really not sure yet what it'll take to beat the Dems, you've heard all the opinions here. More to come.

Actually, I have a low tolerance....

...for listening to language known as "politicianesse."

Also, I wouldn't exactly call these forums "debates."

Sheila! It just struck me!

You used the word "hack" in your essay!

Admit it. I'm rubbing off on you.

LOL

Sheila:

I thought they all (excepting Ron Paul) were quite good.

Only in the GOP can you have nine good candidates and the guys here at TH want someone else.

BrianR:

The word "hack" is reserved for Democrats.

Now I'm Sure

Mathews is the loser, hands down. The more I watch and see, there's no doubt the Enemedia is in full press.

They don't want a republican

in office ever again... The hatred they have goes deep.

Broad brush, I know. But looks like many will stop at nothing to condemn anything remotely conservative.

LOL

Actually, I consider most politicians "hacks" unless they prove themselves otherwise.

They slurp at the public trough.

Virginia Daddy:

You are right. They will go to any lengths to get a Democrat President elected.

I think that '08 is the real turning point for this country. If we lose, it will be a long time in the desert.

Sorry I was out ...

Just checking in.

Brian

I guess our side decided not to be "wimps" like the dems who couldn't take the Chris Wallace cross examination...

Hopefully Britt will be the next moderator. I have to say Brian Williams did a far more professional job moderating the dem debate, than the Mathews the hack.

I actually thought our guys did great with all the distrations Mathews was throwing at them.

I'll be over to your place to check out your "take" on the debate...:)

Scatbug

"Carnival barker"... Mathews next career, maybe?...ha...good one!

I see you're still around despite the mallet whacks...:)

Brian

I have to admitt to being inspired by your term... hack just seemed like the perfect description for the jerk...

Don't get carried away though...I was referring to a true hack...LOL

Sandra

Yes it is ironic, isn't it? Our guys made the dems look like total bafoons.

They were sharp, they made sense, they actually answered questions instead of rambling off talking points...it's clear to see where the quality candidates are, even with a "carnival barker" (thanks, Scat) moderator...

And Sandra

Thanks for straightening Brian out on that fine point...:)LOL

I was just

going to send out the call "Oh, sister, where art thou,?" when you came back.

Guess what, Jevica is back!

Dave

Ha...good point about Mathews being slected because he's the biggest Bush hater...well, at least a close second to Keith Oberman...that guy is rabid.

Yeah the press is going to do all they can to get their socialist buds elected.

I'll be over to check out your site!

Jimmy

You mean "pollnese"?...:)

Yeah, this format was more like a Mathews "Hardboiled" session, than a debate...it was Chris debating all the Repub candidates, not moderating...

VDaddy

They will do "anything" to get a dem back in the WH...yup, that's for sure...

Could you believe the question about Bill Clinton? That said it all!

And "what do you dislike the most about America"?

LOOOOSERRRRR!:)

Sandra

Yeah, I finally got back and checked TH to see what was up! I'll get over to everyone's place to see what you guys are up to!

Jevica made it back! With some money I hope...:0)

Boy was he missed!

Sheila: LOL

It's kind of an all-purpose term. It has just this great sound to it that totally conveys contempt!

Brian

Yeah, almost as much contempt as the word "French"...:)

LOL, Sheila, you're killing me!

Or as the French laugh:

Oink, oink, oink!

The Questions

Now what would have been good, is if Mathews had put two of those questions together.

"Is Bill Clinton what you most dislike about America?"

I'd like to answer that one.

Brian

Ha...too funny...I'm cracking up...well I guess the good news out of Paris is that Sarkozy, who would "warm relations" with the US, and prod the French to "work more" is ahead in the presidential race...Woo hoo...the French may actually decide that work pays! Si von ple...(I'm pretending to know French...:)

Dave

LOL! LOVE IT! Now THAT I would have liked to have seen!...

We can dream...;)

Answer: Absolutely positively YES! UI! SI!...:)

Sheila: Hah!

"and prod the French to 'work more'"

Yeah, and give up those afternoon brioches at the bistro?

The eight week vacations?

LOL

I love your optimism!

Brian

Your French waiter story at your place was a riot...don't you know you are just an American brute? How dare you try to speak French...it is too refined for the likes of vu...;)LOL

Brian

Actually, I just had a thought...maybe it was nearing his eight week vacation, and he was just a little on edge after working so hard keeping all the Americans brutes happy ...:)

the thing is...as socialist nations like France try to turn back the clock on the disastrous experiment which went bust, here in the US, we have those on the far left pushing to implement that disastrous policy here...can you imagine the message the world would get from a socialist winning the WH?

And Brian

Imagine if they gain the WH, and a majority in both houses...Europe would be welcoming the US into the new era of European Socialism...

I'm going to remain optomistic about the GOP winning in a landslide...

I just had a thought...

Wouldn't it be sick if France became more like America, and America became more like France?????

Brian...how would you like them apples?

Cromprende vu? :-(

The question I've been posing...

...is "would the Dem's allow Ann Coulter to moderate at one of their debates". Heck No! They're not stupid.

I'm just trying to figure out what dufus in our own party allowed that to happen? Matthews being a rabid Dem. Like handing him a golden opportunity on a silver platter! Oh well. Our wonderful self-destructive GOP.

Come visit sometime Sheila if you get time. DD

I missed the debate

But would have expected Chris Matthews to demand that each candidate say something nice about Clinton and Carter before we ask any questions.

It amazes me the double standard. (though it shouldn't any more) The Dems bail on their debate because of percieved Fox bias, and not only do the Republicans accept MSNBC, they accept Matthews who has a clear and vested interest in making them look bad. Had the Republicans complained or boycotted, the media would have been all over it. I think that 10 candidates is too many for a 90 minute debate. Maybe they should find 6 more, and set it up tournament style like the NCAA tourney. In the 1st round, we have Romney vs Paul. The winner of that debate will face the winner of Thompson vs Gingrich. Or maybe not...its hard to imagine too much useful content when each candidate only gets 5-6 minutes out of the 90 though.

Sheila

Steve at Campaign2008Victory has decided to throw down the gauntlet over the "issue we won't name" that has caused recent uproars here at TH.

Sheila: The nightmare!

LOL

Don't say those things. I need a good night's sleep.

I'll tell you something, though, I seriously think that come next year, if the Dems keep doing what they're doing, they are going to lose at least one of the Congressional houses.

AT LEAST one.

I can't believe how badly they're constantly shooting themselves in both feet, as well as the knees. It's an absolute joy to watch.

Talk about over-reaching! And just wait until they introduce bills to increase taxes, personal, capital gains, and death. You know they will... they can't help themselves. It's in their very nature.

Well,

"..they're constantly shooting themselves in both feet, as well as the knees."

That may be why they are so anti-gun.....in order to save themselves from Us AND themselves...

DD

Ann Coulter! The dems would NEVER allow that, since they wimped out on Chris Wallace (who is probably a dem)...

We should all write our local papers and insist that the dems have Coulter as their moderator the next debate...if we have to have Mathews they should get Coulter!

I love that idea...and we should insist that the GOP get a reasonable moderator and have a different format next time!:)

Will

Ha! Exactly..."would have expected Chris Mathews to demand each candidate say something nice about Clnton and Carter"...LOL

It was a pathetic performance from Mathews...I haven't watched his show since he went on the hate Bush bandwagon.

It is hard with so many candidates, and we should try for a better format, but this was an absolute joke, shouldn't even qualify as a debate...

In this day of MSM propaganda, I don't know how things can be changed...we need more conservatives in media...:)

Hey Brian!

Sorry about that...:)LOL... hope you didn't stay up all night with that thought in your head...America a la France, France a la America...

Let us hope you're right about 08, though I'm hoping for a lanslide in BOTH houses...the way things are looking right now the troops may be left out in the cold, and the world is getting the wrong message...that the American socialist party is on the march...not a good picture for America.

Jimmy :-)

I just hope they aim a little higher...LOL between the eyes would be just fine...

Sheila:

If France becomes more like America, then Europe could follow...then all the socialists would move to America! We do need immigration reform!

I have a new blog called "Who is running and ruining America?

I couldn't post comments last night!

Jam Apple Jimmy: LOL

That MUST explain it!

Hey Sandra

Coming over to your place!

Brian,Jam Apple Jimmy

Ha! Just realized Jimmy asked me a question over at your place Brian...

I'm heading over there after I check out Sandra's.;)

I definitely want tickets to Jam Apple Jimmy's first concert!LOL

Yeah, Heh heh heh

What kinda music is it, anyway?

Hopefully not rap....

Ugh!

What on Earth..

...would make you even think I "rap."

By the way, that brings a question to mind:

If We started "rapping" Our critizisms about the left, would that leave Us immune from their attacks? Because We would then be "artists."

I'll leave the lyrics up to Cynewulf.

And here's the quote:

From Sandra,

"Sheila:

Thanks, coming from my more talented sis, beautiful, a great poet and song writer, piano player, and now blogger extraordinaire! There is much more I could say about her...."

Brian

"hopefylly not rap"...of course not! Jimmy's not the rap type...LOL

Jimmy :-)

Mahvelous idea...let's start rapping our criticism of the Left...perfect! LOL

Jimmy, you're good at lyrics...you should come up with something!:-)

Jimmy

Oh yeah,I rmember now...:O) Those were very kind words...

I got sidetracked when I went to Brians...

going there to see if you left me an answer...if you didn't you can leave it here...LOL something about a question about playing instruments...then I said what is your question Jimmy oh, JImmy...

Jimmy: Why?

Your new name, of course!

Jam Apple Jimmy?

Vanilla Ice?

Ice T?

Food groups seem to be a "rap artiste" naming phenomenon.

Brian:-)

Too funny! LOL

You should be Jimmy's agent! You could book the Jam Apple Jimmy tour, and hit the OC, Euless, San Fran, I can see Jinmmy's name in lights...

Btw, Jimmy

Didn't see your answer at Brian's...did I miss something really important? :-) LOL

Brian

Viv la France! They elected the conservative pro-American for president! Just saw the article on News Max.com. Hurray!

Think I'll start brushing up on my French!:)

Sheila: Yes, they did indeed

I am so shocked, I'm almost speechless.

"Almost" being the operative word.

It'll be interesting to see what he can accomplish.

He already told them in a speech that working a 40 hour week wasn't the end of the world.

I'm sure you could hear jaws hit the pavement all over the Champs Elysees.

Geesh

I'm late to the party.

PuffBall was atrocious. That is putting it mildly too. PuffBall was a writer for Jimmy Carter and is a dimocrap card carrying excuser for all things rotten in Denmark. He is rotten.

Like I said another blog, can't recall since so many have like articles, the Repubs deserve credit for going on stage with probably the worst offender when it comes to being biased (other than KO and Wolfblitzkrieg) and they entered the arena unlike the wimpy dim candidates who won't appear on Fox.

Well, I've got news for everyone, MSNBC is to the left what Fox is to the right.

Pepp: Huh?

"Well, I've got news for everyone, MSNBC is to the left what Fox is to the right."

And how is this NEWS?

There's a huge difference....

Jam Apple Jimmy = Rappa

Jimmy and the Jam Apple Gang = Saturday afternoon comedy skit show a la "Sha Na Na" or "Hee-Haw"

Jimmy and the Jam Apple Band = Southern Country Group with a touch down home music with maybe a washboard and a jug with "XXX" on it.

JAJ: LOL, man

Thanks for the breakdown on the music scene vis-a-vis (Thats' French... how droll) band names.

I just re-read your post and am still cracking up.

Who were those guys who used to sing on "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?"?

Oh, man, a true stroll down Memory Lane.

Brian

"I'm sure you could hear jaws hit the pavement"...LOL... you are one funny homme!

Geesh...Hill must be totally bumbed! She was probably hoping the socialists would win...:)

Pep

LOL...did I miss something? Are we on the same blog???:)Ha! That was a funny rant...

Yeah you are right about MSNBC...now, can we just get Ann Coulter to moderate the next dem debate?...;0)

Brian

Ha! Can you get off Pep's case please?...She made a point there, Bri...:)

Jimmy :-)

OK, my turn to clean off my computer screen...hahaha! I'm dying!

You are a riot...LOL

BrianR

Can you believe JAJ? I feel like I've just had a course in Band 101!...LOL

Btw...have you ever played a washboard or jug? I'm sure it takes special talent to play those...:)

Hey Sheila...

..I have decided to start playing the piano and have begun teaching myself with the purchase of a keyboard and a book.

Besides "practice", any tips or tricks of the trade that you may have observed that a novice without a teacher would not know? I know it's a pretty vague question, but worth a try.

I played the clarinet for a number of years in school and became quite good. First place in a solo competition throughout the state of Texas.

Sometimes Our..

..tete-a-tetes (that's french for knockin' noggins) can get pretty silly. Thank goodness.

LOL

I'm tuning up my jug as we speak.

Hey Jimmy!

Wow! I'm impressed! LOL

I can't really offer any advice, except the easiest way to learn is to learn chords, and then buy the "fake" music at the music stores, because they have the chords marked clearly for chord playing.

I taught myself guitar when I was a teen in much the same way you are teaching yourself piano...it's lots of fun. Good luck! You'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

I play piano by ear, so I'm no expert there, and haven't played the guitar for a while...I should dust it off and get at it again...:)

I do enjoy just sitting at the piano and playing whatever comes into my brain...you're going to love it.:)

Jimmy :-)

Yeah, I kinda like our silly repartee, it is a nice break from all the heavy stuff...:)You guys can get quite hillarious!

Let me know when you get your first gig!:) If it's like me, it was the fam...I had to prove to them I actually learned the geetar on my own...Ha!

Brian

OK, I'll grab the washboard...LOL

Btw, Brian

I read that the new French pres happily affirmed the French like burgers, Madonna, and "Miami Vice"...he could have left out Madonna for Pete's sake...Geesh.

The one piece of good news is when he said about the US "I want to tell them that France will always be at their side when they need us"...whew!

It will sure be a relief not to have to see John Kerry Chirac's mug on the TV anymore! Se magnefique! LOL!

Booking my flight to Paris as we speak!:)

Thanks, I figured as much..

..I know a handfull of households that have a piano, but nobody knows how to play. The only time you hear any noise coming from them is when the little kids are pounding the keys. So, I have decided to secretly learn and surprise everyone with a little ditty come the Holiday Season when We all begin to gather once again.

With Brian as my Secretary of Offense, he is more than qualified to be manager/agent for me.

Brian addressing the owner of "Billy Bob's":
"Jimmy and Jam Apple Band plays here this Saturday night or We declare war!"

Owner: "Yes, Sir! (saluting)"

And Brian...

...in order to play "The Jug" it is required by law to purchase extra carbon-offset credits.

And another thing...

...with friends like France, Who needs France?

Hey Jimmy!

Way to go! That's the way to do it! I can envison everyone gathered around the JAJ piano singing "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire" this Christmas! Actually that's one tof the harder ones...

You will become the neighborhood celeb!:)

Jimmy :-)

"With Brian as my Secretary of Offense he is more than qualified to be manager/agent for me"...LOL

Ha! Billy Bob's will pay nicely I'm sure...:)

Sheila

I apologize for my comment. I apparently did think I was somewhere else. I was having that problem all day yesterday. Just total exhaustion from lack of sleep and too many stressful things going on with my family. I was on overload.

Sorry. PuffBall is still a dunce.

Jimmy

"With friends like France who needs France"...:) Ha!

Seems France is waking up to the reality of socialism...it doesn't work... think it will influence those on the Left to abandon their socialist plans for America? Not! They'll just keep marching down that road even with all the evidence it doesn't work all over the globe...

Dr. Steech

Doesn't surprise me one bit...you read him right...it's all about Chris Mathews...the elitists in the media and on the Left think they are far superior to us serfs...

The way he treated the GOP candidates was embarrassing...

Pep

Hope you're OK and everything works out with the family...sorry you are so exhausted...you've been on TH so much! Don't know how you do it!:)

And Pep

No apology necessary! It was rather funny actually...quite a rant! LOL

Sheila, Jimmy

Jimmy: Yep, he won't stand a chance. I'm cocked, locked and ready to rock!

(Seemed so fitting, given the subject!)

Sheila: France will always be at our side?!

Was that a threat?

What did we do to deserve that?

That's so reassuring. Kinda like the waterboy at the sidelines of the NFL game. They can bake us some nice quiches while we're fightin' the battles. Send 'em to the front in a fancy filigreed chafing dish.

Just don't trust them with any weapons or live rounds. They always damage them when they throw them down while surrendering.

Even the French themselves

know they can't fight worth a hill of beans.

That's why they always send the Legion d'Etrangers (French Foreign Legion) to the actual battles. They have to turn to non-Frenchmen to find people who know how to fight.

Laughingly enough, it's also why they forbid the Legion from being based on French soil. If they attempted a coup, there'd be no one in France itself to stop them!

Sheila

My muddling I think was due to the fact that I was trying to work on my system at the same time I was troubleshooting my computer. My mail program kept breaking on me and I'm trying to fix it and comment at the same time. I think I got lost. Ha! Ha!

My son has old French guns. He says they are great because they've never been used.

Sheila

Once again I'm not making sense with my sentences.
I meant I was working on my computer at the same time staying on TH making posts.

My brain is just on some kind of vacation I think.

Sheila

Last night I watched a portion of PuffBall with Tenet interview. I was surfing and saw Tenet on there so I had to see how Puff was going to deal with Tenet.

It was totally obnoxious. He kept time and time again trying to get Tenet to say that Bush lied us into a war. Tenet, to his credit, would not say that.

PuffB also tried to get Tenet to say that Feith was the one who had Bush's ear and told him to go to war with Iraq. Tenet said he had no idea. Puff kept pushing him. Tenet repeated himself and repeated that he did not know. Tenet said he was in on all the meetings and did not know of that.

PuffB said surely he would know. Tenet said he didn't know.

Then Puffball tried to get Tenet say that they were incompetent because no one had plans on what to do with an insurgency. Tenet danced around that one, saying something about looking back in hindsight and being able to see your mistakes.

The whole interview went on like that. It was revolting. Each time PuffBall could not get Tenet to say what he wanted, he would say it himself, for example, Doug Feith, was the one who talked Bush into war.

I can't believe my own ears sometimes when I see and hear things like this. But, every so often I
like to peek in on what the leftist media is up to. The old saying of "know thy enemy".

I can see where people who watch this kind of an interview could come to the wrong conclusions and believe what the left has to say because someone as forceful as PuffBall makes each question a statement. He pretty much asks the question, answers it himself, the confirms it himself even though the person being interviewed is not answering.

It's unbelievable. You have to see it for yourself to believe it actually.

BrianR

The French "standing by our side"...yup, your reaction was just as I thought it would be!... LOL

I just left a brilliant answer, which TH lost...Uhg!:(

What I think I said was something along the lines of...though militarily it means nothing, just the fact that they are thumbing their noses at the Socialist Left here, is rather comical...ol' Hill must be seathing that one of her ideal socialist bastions could be abandoning her global cause...

Of course, Sarkozy will need a majority of his party in parliament to implement his policies, but it's a token move to the right and may show a small trend for Europe... maybe they are waking up to the realities of the failure of socialism...:)

Also Brian

If France's election boosts support for the global WOT, that's a good thing as well...

Btw, Brian

Thanks for the lesson in French government/military 101! Quite impressive!:)

Between you and Jimmy, I feel we are truly getting a quality education here on TH! LOL

Hey Pep

I went back and read your original post, and realized you were exactly right on...it was my problem interpreting it...:)

Your "PuffBall" term totally threw me, but now I get it...sorry! LOL it was TMF!(totally my fault)

I'm the one that's OOI (out of it)...:)

And Pep

It sounds like you have been extremely frustrated with a lot of things, including TH...I lost a comment, but some are losing their posts, and can't comment, so I'm not that bad off...

You have made total sense while going through all the irritation...:)

Thanks to Brian and Sandra, I now know how to cut and paste...not exactly a computer Guru here...LOL

Btw, Pep

That was funny about your son having French guns...(that happen to never have been fired)...Ha!

As to Tenet's interview

on PuffBall...thanks for filling me in...you endured the torture...:)I had a nice evening walk.

Why doesn't it surprise me that Puff was trying to badger a "Bush lied, people died" quote out of Tenet...Geesh... typical dem hack...(to use Brian's lingo)...

Sheila

I reread my post and the only thing that was odd was me saying that thing about MSNBC, but I put that in there in case any libdolts came here. Looks like you lucked out not to have one of these resident idiots on your blog, like I get Brad on mine.

I see Sandra has her resident libdolt, Lew now.

ROTFLMAO

Very funny stuff.

There's a lot of never-fired French military surplus on the market. You have to be careful when you buy it, though, and check the stocks for dings. Always try to find one that's only been thrown down in surrender once.

BTW, didja hear what happened during the fireworks display at EuroDisney the other day?

The French Minister of War was there, and when the fireworks started he got a hernia throwing his hands up into the air.

Don't worry, guys, Brian

to the rescue, single-handedly taking on Brad and Lew at the very same time without even raising a glint of sweat.

Pep

Ha! Brian gave you a hard time over the MSNBC comment...he just had to get his little sarcastic comment in...LOL, Brian!

All in all your comments were perfect...:) PuffBall did a pathetic job!

Btw, you can keep the looney lefties over at your place, thanks very much!:)

BrianR

Ha! LOL

I definitely get the feeling you are not sold on the French military! Too funny!:)

A hernia from the fire works! Is that the French version of shock and awe? ROTFLMHO...too funny:)

And Brian

Glad you're holding the line over at Pep's and Sandra's...those libters must be confounded at your debating skills!:)ILMHO!!!

Keep it up Brian ol' boy!

Shane :)

Sorry, I didn't mean to demean your candidate...it's nothing personal, we all have our opinions, and it's just clear JP will never be able to win.

Pep, on PufBall

"he pretty much asks the question, answers it himself, and confirms it himself even though the person being interviewed is not answering"...

That's the way the dem "hacks" do their work for them...they brainwash the average Joe blow...it's sickening, you are exactly right.

Did you hear that 35% of dem libs believe that Bush knew about 9-11, and let it happen? That is alarming misinformation, and an alarming number of dolts who believe this pathetic stuff...

And now the propaganda MSM is treating the six jihadists who were arrested for their plans to murder military personell at Ft. Dix as just a bunch of independent "home grown" terrorists... like this is not tied to the global WOT at all. Just some local cooks, no big deal. It's enough to drive you nutty...

Not reading pufballs post

But readign some of the responses, it reminded me of a comparison I recently used against someone...

It seems that the path to liberalism is a bit like the efforts of the Emporer in Star Wars to entice Anikin... Little by little, embrace it. Pretty soon, your in too deep...

Yeah, VDaddy

and if we don't reverse things with a landslide in 08, it'll be e huge leap for liberalism, because the dems won't want to waste any time if they have total control...look what they are attempting now. It's truly alarming...

if they hadn't had 40 years of creeping toward socialism, little by little, as you say, we wouldn't be in the state we're in today. We reversed some of the damage, but needed more time to make inroads...

Interesting comparison...:)Glad you came by!

Sheila

The Newsweek poll of the other day, supposedly horrible for GOP, was skewed by polling 50% more Dems than GOPs! Polls are tools for the opinion shapers. They're on a full court press and it's only May.

Brian

don't get cocky, man. I saw a glint, I did, I saw one, nanner nanner bo bo!

Sheep

Many of us have been called sheep. I hate to say it, but if we are sheep, what does that make the 78%? There are far too many folks who just don't think, or more likely, care to think...

Sheila

Yeah, I saw that 35% think Bush knew of 9/11. Just a case of loons. They've been around since the beginning of time.

I have a new chapter of my diary up. Moore gets his in this chapter. If you get a chance come by.

As far as Brad, I think he finally flew the coup.
He told us we're all blind, and that we can't see anything, just our hatred for illegals.

Adieu, Bradtard. So, I think he'll be gone finally.
Funny what really ticked him off was Purplegimp slamming him over something he said to her. Funny and weird guy.

Dave

Yeah, the dems with the help of the mainscream media, and the pollsters are going to do all they can to skew things in their direction to try to fool everybody...it's going to be a long campaign...uhg.:0)

GOP sheep here

baaaaa...LOL

It's scary to think there are such high numbers of gullible non thinkers out there, that's for sure...and if they are going to the polls, even scarrier!

Scottie<

You misinterpreted a gleam of anticipation in my eye for a drop of sweat on my brow.

I'm glad I could clear that up.

Hey Pep

So ol' Bradford finally gave up...guess he'll just remain one of the loons that never gets the truth about things.

Purplegimp did him in, huh? Wow...I'll have to check that out.

I haven't had time to visit around TH, much. Will try to do some later.

I'll be over to see your latest chapter...:)

Brian the mighty warrior

LOL

Keep it up...those libsters need some major straightening out!...:)

Brian

Alright then, but you were glinting for some reason. I can't swear it was sweat, it may have been a glint of determination. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on this one.

BTW, I see you've once again exercised your mighty powers, this time on the hapless Shane (the Insane). I don't know what his problem was; but you gave him a well deserved real one to work on. Well done!

Hey Scottie!

Shane's comment disappeared...do you know if he was flagged?

Scottie, Thanks, man.

Did you see that garbage he posted?

Unreal.

Sheila: yeah, I flagged him

on an unbelievable obsceene comment at my house, and contacted Josue directly.

He bounced ole Shane and all his posts right off the site. Blocked Shane too (Alan Ladd's spinning in his grave).

Sheila

Shane's comments just went over the top and got worse from there. Absolutely obscene language without direction, provocation or purpose. I saw the posts and couldn't believe it. I tried to flag the last one, but the site wouldn't respond. Clearly out of line. This wasn't even a close call for Josue.

Hey,

I tried to leave a comment several times yesterday, but it wouldn't post. Same thing at BrianR's.

What I was trying to say was, that the Dems believe that W is responsible for 9/11, because their philosophy is to win at any cost, including attacking our own troops! So why wouldn't they believe that W would attack our own citizens to further his agenda?

Scottie, Brian

Thanks guys...these people who think they can only make a point by being obscene are pathetic...we can be civil and disagree without the garbage.

Thanks for helping keep the place decent...we don't need that here...:)

Sandra,

sorry you had problems yesterday...

you make a very good point...the dems assume W would be as traiterous as they are in seeking political power...the only way they could assume such a thing is if they are willing to do it themselves...they project onto others what they do to win, or gain political position. It's really sick.

I think the second debate

was more illuminating. I tried to blog my thoughts on the fly while watching it.

Wil

I totally agree!

I'm coming over to your place!
