The most important truth is living it. You may have objective proof of the truth of the Bible and of Christianity, but if you do not live it, if you do not have the proof of it in your own life, then the rest is superfluous. Jesus wants disciples, not theologians, believers, or preachers. The truth set you free to become slaves of righteousness, love, and faithful witness. Paul said to examine yourself, and he said that "those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified [past tense] the flesh with its passions and desires." (Gal.5: 24) Jesus emphasized in every Gospel, not the new birth or Peter's confession, but rather losing your life to save it. The truth will set you free if you let it kill you.
