California Ballot Propositions

This is immoral!

Now that the good voters of California have approved these bond measures, I think the children and grandchildren of "Baby boomers" have a right to be angry. They now have been saddled with an ADDITIONAL $85 billion debt! That is immoral, in my opinion. Keep in mind this is on top of a current (and previously approved) bond obligation of $75 billion (not including interest if I read the Legislative Analyst’s Office webpage (http://www.lao.ca.gov/ballot/2006/bond_11_2006.htm) correctly. So the children and grandchildren, and perhaps great-grandchildren, of the Baby boomers have now had well over $160 billion debt dumped on them. Again, that is immoral! If the current voters wanted all this stuff, they should have paid for it out their own pockets by voting for tax increases for themselves, instead of for their descendants. But who knows, maybe the intelligent and upstanding voters thought the money to pay for the bonds would grow on the money tree [http://www.taxdeferrals.com/Sbus091b.gif]! Or maybe they enjoy robbing their descendants of money they haven't even earned yet! Or maybe they're just intellectually challenged, to put it nicely. I just want to tell the future responsible, working citizens of California that will be paying this debt ... don't be mad at me, I voted against it.
