Naomi, what you want is possible [it used to be easy], but it's going to take a lot of work to combat the liberal control of so much in education.

Working with other parents and local voters is the best way to make necessary changes [or revert to sanity, as it were] in your children's education. While there are [poor and unwarranted] Federal guidelines to many things in education, it still essentially remains a locally controlled system.

Complaints [loud, firm, and often] and voting new members onto the Board of Education are the best ways to fight these institutional infringements on your rights.

You might also remove your children from this school and move them to a Christian private school [there are ways to handle the tuition if you need them], or you can home school.

You can also unofficially home school to the necessary extent to combat the false and misleading information provided in school. You can refuse to permit your children to take part in sex ed or health classes [they'll survive] and refuse to let them be vaccinated with anything you don't approve of.

All this may create difficulties for you, but you seem to have the necessary grit and determination to follow through on what you start no matter the backlash.
