Ron Paul Raises $1 Million Online in Less Than 6 Days!

Nice Post

The media is so asleep on this developing story. I have a feeling all that is going to change very soon when Dr. Paul announces his fundraising totals for this quarter. Excellent write up.

BTW, Hugh or someone else from Townhall will probably write up a story of Romney raising a blistering 70k online this past week. They are pathetic.

wonderful post

Long live the Republic !!
Long live Dr. Ron Paul 2008

Score: Ron Paul 1 Million - Romney 70K?

Allan,

Thanks for the feedback.

Let me know if you find a column on Romney's "blistering" online fundraising. I definitely want to comment on that.

To put the efforts of Ron Paul's supporters in perspective, note the following statement taken from an article here on Townhall.

http://tinyurl.com/33d635

"Fundraising for Republican campaign organizations lags. That is strikingly so in the House, where the party committee spent more than it raised in each of the past two months. (It) reported only $1.6 million in the bank at the end of August and a debt of nearly $4 million.

"Democrats reported $22.1 million in the bank and a debt of slightly more than $3 million."

Restore the Republic So That It May Live

Cywar,

I appreciated your comment.

I think that we have to restore the Republic before it can live long. The Republic that we were given by our Founding Fathers is currently in shambles, and we are forced to wade through the rubble each day.

The power of the Ron Paul Revolution is its capacity to bring people together rather than to divide them.

People originally began living in societies because community organization was mutually beneficial to all. Societies work, if citizens make them work by focusing on views that they hold in common rather than on views that separate them.

We have too much divisive rhetoric in this country. It as though we have taken courtroom attorneys as the model for our society, and we, then, spend our lives defending our views and attacking those of others instead of working together to solve problems. How easy it is to call a person who disagrees with us a "moron" or an "idiot."

Awesome!

Poor townhall folks........

They don't know what real conservatives are anymore....

Townhall "Conservatives"

In being attacked as a presumed "lefty" when I commented on Mary Graber's "satirical" article on Osama Bin Laden's "death" here on Townhall, I wrote the following:

"But, I will say that there is NOTHING conservative about mindlessly supporting globalist goals. This is what we now call Neo-Conservatism which interestingly enough apppears to derive from people who once were Trotskyists. Trotsky was about as far "lefty" as one can get. Thus, it is not surprising that Neo-Liberals often support the same globalist goals as Neo-Conservatives."

It was interesting that in trying to remain firmly above the name calling and using humor, I did bring a fellow by the name of "My Opine" around to wishing me a good night after he had called me everything from a communist to an Al Qaeda sympathizer to an Iranian Professor. :-)

RESTORE THE REPUBLIC

.....Likkerish ...

.....I am glad to see that we still have Classic Liberals around that want to restore the Republic ...

.....I think we have about as much chance of that as the Romans did after Caesar crossed the Rubicon ...

.....I hate to be a cynic but I am a prisoner of logical reasoning and as Einstein once said when asked how he could be so sure his unproven theories were correct ...he replied, "I followed logic and went where it took me." ...

.....I think our Republic suffered a fatal blow during the Civil War and we have been on life support ever since ...in the absense of an Ethno-Cultural Populace to hold us together ...I see no other alternative to the Authoritarian Dictatorship I see in our future ...if Hillary wins the process will be accelerated but it is inevitable regardless ...I think we are under an ipso facto Dictatorship right now ...cheers .....COLOSSUS

Classical Liberalism - A Lot of Converts

Thanks for the comment, baseballdoc.

I think Ron Paul is the catalyst for a developing movement of huge proportions. We are seeing the Hegelian antithesis, I think, to the trend toward authoritarianism. It finally is reaching the tipping point. I don't think there is any stopping it.

The new political synthesis?

If the current Ron Paul Freedom movement is, in fact, the Hegelian antithesis to the trend toward authoritarianism in this country, then the question which arises is: What will be the new political synthesis?

Will it be a new party? Or, will it reflect the demise of the two-party system as it presently exists because of its all-encompassing nature?

LIKKERISH

.....I am not an Idealist ...what few Ideals I had were shattered when I came back from Vietnam ...

.....I am an objective realist and a Pragmatist ...I believe that once authoritarianism becomes firmly entrenched ...that only armed revolution can dislodge it ...

.....my memory fails me at times but wasn't it Jefferson who said that ..."revolution had to be refreshed periodically by the blood of patriots" ...do you remember the quote? .....COLOSSUS

The Tree of Liberty

The actual quote, baseballdoc, is:

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

And, yes, it was, indeed, attributed to Thomas Jefferson.

Entrenchment of Authoritarianism

I think that authoritarianism has not yet become firmly entrenched. It has many footholds and is ready to sink its roots deep within the collective consciousness, but our peaceful revolution is chopping away at those roots.

Ron Paul over $5million

Unfortunately it took segregationist Governor Wallace to reveal the truth that "there's not a dime's worth of difference between" Republicans and Democrats. The Democrats willingly went along with the War in Iraq, suspension of Habeas Corpus, detaining protesters, banning books like 'America Deceived' from Amazon, stealing private lands (Kelo decision), warrant-less wiretapping and refusing to investigate 9/11 properly. They are both guilty of treason.

Support the $5-million dollar man, Dr. Ron Paul and save this country.

As an aside, we must give credit where it is due, this blogger guessed the $5 million donation number right first:

Ron Paul the $5 Million Man!

In the third quarter, Ron Paul, who polls sometimes lower and sometimes equal with Mike Huckabee, raised five times as much money as Huckabee. He was even, allegedly with McCain, but no doubt has more money in the bank, posting $5.3 million on hand. He raised much more than Joe Biden and Chris Dodd, and he was in the vicinity of John Edwards' $7 million and Bill Richardson's $5.3 million. And, this is all without main stream media attention...until now! He was interviewed tonight by ABC, who flew a team to New Hampshire to conduct the interview.

Sportsbook.com, prior to the release of these figures, had him at 4-1 to win the nomination and 6-1 to win the presidency. Romney was only at 8-1 to occupy the White House!

Who is Ron Paul? Answer: The least well known first tier candidate in history!
