The SPLC claims the Right erroneously paints the liberal opposition with one deviant brush, while in the very same article does exactly the same.

I guess I am just a "right wing" nut. Yes I do own guns. But most of them are muzzle loaders. And yes I do own several bolt action rifles, lever action rifles, and one semi-automatic rifle manufactured in 1949. And yes, I do intend on protecting my family and myself. And yes, as a "reserve policeman" and/or state employee, I have defended myself twice.

No, I am not in a "militia" (unless you include the NRA or the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association). And about 20 years ago I was a member of an historical reenactment group (1770's to 1820's).

But the SPLC would probably "paint" me as a "militia" member. However, would the SPLC describe many in the new administration as "Marxist"?

The SPLC has lost any claim to fairness or to being unbiased when it failed to do for the "Left" what it does to the "Right".

The March of Dimes achieved cure for polio. As an organization it then did what bureaucracies do; it found a new mission.

Think early 1960s (for those of you old enough, or for those of you younger and who didn't attend government schools) for the Southern POVERTY Law Center. Segregation was a barrier to rising out of poverty. So you target and defeat the organized racists. Now what? You find a new enemy.

I was acquainted with Julian Bond when we were both a lot younger together in Atlanta, I a businessman, he a state legislator. (He's never worked for a living.) We were told that we looked like twins, albeit he with the better tan. He was and remains a perpetual victim whiner, ala Jesse Jackson, and I see his stamp all over the SPLC.

You all see just what I saw, one-sided, keyhole thinking. It is a shame that groups like the SPLC out survive their useful, beneficial lives. We humans should be so lucky to be so durable.
