Ante Up!

So Flagwaver....

How do you really feel? My rant would be a little more expletive laced. Seeing as you just wrote it I don't have to. Good piece.

Flagwaver

Soon after you last wrote at Mike Adams' thread, I was accused of exploiting or molesting my own son. So much for "Christian" free speech to say "God loves you.", I guess. This is the sort of disgusting harassment that colleges were concerned about. How does one even begin to respond to having this kind of horrible and criminal accusation made, and by a complete stranger at that?

I agree, but am ambivalent

Flag, I know how important this is, but take a look at my last two blog posts. I am getting really depressed about our chances for getting the leadership we need. I cannot just vote for a guy cause he is Clinton with an R behind his name. But I can't let the Democraps win the election either. FRUSTRATION!!!!

And regardless of who is elected, the bureaucrats will do what they want anyway! Short of armed rebellion, what is a passionate conservative to do?

For you CD, I have to say don't let the asses get you down. We have plenty on our side who are intolerant and feel that they have the duty to pass judgment on everyone's lives. But so do all groups. Try being a smoker at the DNC.
I do think your life choice is suspect, but that is neither your problem nor mine. You are a friend from the internet and not a lover or family member. If you are happy with your choices, so am I. You will be judged by a much wiser judge than me according to his standards and not mine or anyone else's. I can be happy with knowing you, talking to you, and leave the rest to him.

Good piece! I, for one, certainly shall ante up this November. Another question we should perhaps ask ourselves is "How can we up the ante?"

Having first come to TH about 2 weeks ago, and reading other posts for a week before I have posted any of my own, I must say that it is refreshing to see that there are still many patrotic Americans. I also proclaim in all honesty that upon arriving to TH that I was probabbly just a liitle left of being, what many of the left-wing-dings would call, the far right.
Now, I can state unfalteringly, that the idiocy of the left has indeed pushed me farther to the right. Almost feel like there is nowhere farther right to go. This is one Independent, who after the Nov elections will, without a doubt change his voter registration to that of Republican.

Flag, reading your description of Dems

made me think: This is what life would be like for a polygamist: The guy doing some chore or other while his ten wives stand over him criticizing each move he makes. :)

To all

Thanks for the posts and the interest, folks! And I will try to keep them coming.

Celt, I honestly don't know what to say. I read some of Luis posts and after a couple, I just skipped them because they added nothing to the conversation. Because of that, I didn't actually see what Luis wrote. Suffice it to say that what he said was despicable and I am not going to tell you to ignore it, because that is not something you can ignore. I understand your anger, frustration, and pain with what was said to you, but please do not judge all of us evangelicals on the weakness of those that claim to be Christians. Just keep in mind the message of Matthew 7:21-23, not all those that cry Lord, Lord are His.

Jeff, we have had a similar discussion about this issue. Don't let the current lack of leadership sour you on the process; like I stated elsewhere I believe that we have the power to change things. We did it with Reagan, we can do it again...we just can't give up the fight!

Cat, welcome aboard! It's a big tent, and no matter how you got here, we're glad you came. But, don't think that you have to change your registration to the (R); be true to your conservative principles first and foremost. Always vote principle over party, because the GOP isn't always going to represent you...look at immigration policy and the inexplicable support for RINO's that come from the party bigwigs. Remember, conservative first, party affiliation second!

Cat trapper -- WELCOME

Hey there, cat trapper -- just read your post, and I have to say that we welcome MANY different points of view except the moonbat leftwing side. That leaves about 75% of Americans who, if they were more informed about leftist/socialist/Democratic ideology, would vote Republican. JUST ASK JOE LIEBERMAN how "big" the Democrat tent is.
While I am a conservative who who won't vote for McCain or Guliani in an '08 primary, Republicans still encompass those "moderates" as well as "far-right" views. The Left/Democrats try to say that they are open-minded, but I find much more open-mindedness on the right. Go figure.
