NEDA AND MICHAEL - Two Deaths, Two Different Worlds

NEDA AND MICHAEL
It would be the same thing w/Paris Hilton. She breaks a nail or slips and falls, the story would be aired 24/7.
But that's society created by high school popularity contests. The cheerleaders and jocks become the high school stars not the ROTC or political science leaders for which a program may not exist. More people are worried about what trendy stuff than long term goals.
Both Ed McMahon, a war hero at that, and Farrah Fawcett's coverage along w/a slew of real problems were bumped by announcement of MJ's death. Anna Nicole still received same coverage as Michael. And so did Natalee Holloway which dominated front page news while soldiers' deaths in Iraq were increasing. And advertisers funded the stories daily, while non mainstream America focused on real issues wondering who was there for them.
That's the tragedy. The other tragedy is not appreciating someone while they are here on earth. MJ has basically been ignored by the public & mainstream media for the past 10 years.
It takes death for rest of society to notice life? WTF!! I notice the great people all me daily such that they know how much appreciated while here. The sambe applied to Neda: had someone valued her life the day Ahmastoleajob was elected the first time, there would have been an organized movement to change their world so that Neda could not only live but lead!
