What's with the comment, once a baptist, always a baptist? If you've noticed, all he says about his faith is that it defines who he is. That's good, I know where he stands. Compare that to Romney, you can't tell where Romney stands. Just curious what you mean. I don't think baptists are anti-conservative, just the opposite.

I never claimed the GOP party was dead. Of course if close minded people that tell people to go away just because they don't tow the party line gain control then it might as well be.

Baptist leaders don't always have the stellar reputation they claim. I'm not saying Huckabee has any ghosts in the closet or anything, I'm just saying the background makes me a little nervous. He discuses a lot of things that resonate with me but I look at candidates on the whole, I am not a single issue voter.
I could get behind Huckabee easily if he was on the ticket with one of the others.
