What lies!!!! Even from a cons, I thought that honesty and accuracy were still upheld.

I have to agree with YLG,FDR belongs in there somewhere,probably in the top five.His liberal policies introduced in the early part of the 20th century are keenly being felt yet today and we still have no solution(social security for example).

But good list over all...

Stipulated, he _did_ encourage the current 'big gov't' mentality and establish some programs that we still have not been able to be rid of (the Soc Sec pyramid scheme, anyone?). On the other hand, he _also_ saw real danger and enemies to the US and led the US through the war. Mostly due to selecting exceptionally talented gents to fight it (Marshall, Nimitz, King, etc) and did his best (on occaision) to stay out of their way.

On balance, I might put him at 7/8, dropping JFK (who lowered taxes and established a worth National goal (Apollo)). OTOH with JFK - he was occaisionally an idiot (BoP - wiretapping domestically, Marylin). What may have happened in a second term? No one really knows, but I would hope that his overriding goal would have been: First, do NO harm.

Please be specific, and provide reasons for thinking that way, and hopefully evidence to back up your reasons. If you can't do this, then may I politely tell you to STFU?

Could you include a definition of 'liberal' and what points/scale you used to conclude the list? I'm just trying to figure it all out based on a measurable rubric.

Once that is forthcoming, I'd be curious where propagandists like Michael Moore and Joseph Goebbels fall out.

I have a nice house, nice car, have a college degree (going back for more), have a woman who loves me, have a baby daughter who adores me, and a job that I actually enjoy and am good at.
