Palin is a Maternalist

Interesting post. I also saw her more as a mother figure. She cares about her family and seems an all American Girl, which I like. I would be ticked off if my kids were attacked like hers too. I wonder what's in store for her in the future.

I also believe Sarah

has a conscince and really dislikes wasting her state's money when all the attacks and legal charges made it practically impossible to deal with her office of Governor. And, the attacks and ridicule targeting her chilren is inexcusable. As a mother, I would not have tolerated that kind of assault against my family; job or no job. IMO, she hasn't "quit" she has made a choice to move to another area where she can work more effectively. I'm certainly not going to join in on the "blame game". I'm going to wait and see what her next move is.

Good points Patrick.

As a mother, I am right NEXT to Sarah Palin. Not behind her.

There are no words to describe how her children have been treated. I do NOT condone dragging ANY children through the mudd.

I am appalled as an American and as a mother by the dispicable acts our media have committed again the Palin family. My last straw would have been the same as hers: targeting a child with a genetic disorder.

Femenists talk about choice. They love the word "choice." But only when it is the choice that THEY would make. I have heard several femenists over the years claim that they had the right to tell women how to live their lives. One went so far as to say that it should be illegal to be a stay at home mom.

I DREAM about being a SAHM. To be able to spend all of my time educating my child and watching him grow instead of sitting behind a desk all day.

Palin isn't going anywhere. She'll be back.

Interesting post. I think the reason so many women attack Sarah (or don't defend her) is that they feel inferior to her. She is the mother of 5 kids, including a Down's baby...many women would abort if they knew their baby was going to be so impacted. She's educated, well-spoken, nice looking, and a successful politician and leader. She's also an evangelical Christian and a conservative. What an intimidating package. It should be something that women model on, not attack. Unfortunately, many women have been radicalized by the feminist movement into believing these traits are anathema to the women's movement.

Those women will never be happy.

I think she wanted to be in a position where she could fight back. She COULD NOT do what Alaskans hired her for and do this. Now she can.
