True Poet

Dear Mrs. Paddy: I just took the time to read over your posts and parodies. Well done and congratulations! Our generation had its shortcomings, but at least we were blessed above succeeding ones insomuch as being able to read, write, spell and think creatively. One has only to look at the comments on Townhall (and from elitist trollers in particular) to see what a lost art that's become! Happy Holy Days.

Steve

Thanks for your very kind words. Being a wordsmith is so much fun! Doubly so when others enjoy my poems. Thanks!

MRS PADDY

.....I see where Barney the frank lover from MASS is introducing Legislation to punish the Lenders of sub prime loans that the Gvt pushed on the lenders in the first place ...

....typical Gvt. double whammy ...the lender refuses a loan because of poor credit and the lawyers are on the lender for discrimination ...when the borrower defaults ...the lawyers sue for approving the loan ...the lawyers (like bookies) win both ways and Barney gets a chance to suck up ...

.....How about a Barney Frank parody to the tune of "Danny Boy" ...

.....you know ..."Oh Barney Boy the pipes the pipes are calling".....COLOSSUS

Barney Frank??

I dunno about that, Baseballdoc. Some things are just a "little" too gut-wrenching to poke fun at. Mr. (?) Frank is one of those for me. Once upon a time, me and my dad ran a geologic consulting service here in Houston in a campus-style office complex. What we didn't know was that the office above us was an undercover homosexual dating service. One night, while free-basing cocaine, they set the whole building on fire. Exit years of work! Everytime I think about Frank's notorious extra-curricular activities, I get a rather grim flash-back! LOL!!

But keep "waxing poetic", Mrs. Paddy! As someone once said, "Laughter is the best medicine." God bless and Happy Holy Days.

P.S. I just heard that the TV studios (and maybe the movie ones) are digging into their basement achives for something to offer the public as the writers' strike continues. I guess that was predictable! What's the word from Lalaland? Regards.
