Forgetting all your core values

What a pathetic argument! You imply that there are just a couple little issues about McCain conservative values.
1. MaCain-Feingold ...direct conflict with 1st amend
2.McCain -Kennedy .... promoted amenesty
" I'm not going to bulid that damn fence"
3. No torture for terrorist ...who cut our heads off
4. close Gauntanimo Bay ... cause it bad for our image.......criminal trials for terrorists
5. stem-cell research on human embryos ... government funded!
6.crackpot global warming legislation
7.opposed tax cuts .... and used the classic liberal rhetoric " tax cuts for the rich"
8. opposed marriage amendment
9 opposed drilling in alaska
10. his liberal rhetoric about the big bad drug companies and oil companies
11.Also a member of the Keating 5 scandal, which you probably don't know, and won't -- until he becomes the Republican nominee.

Yeah ...boy he is a true conservative. Let talk about another issue, nobody seems to want to mention. He is 72 yrs old!! How mant pilots or doctors are still working at 72. I loved Reagan, but even at the end of his second term, people said he was showing some effects of his age.

People always complain that politicians goes with polls to make their decisions, don't stick to their principles. Now, everyone wants conservatives to drop their values and priorities cause the polls say McCain has a chance to beat Hillary!

And now with Huckabee having a man-crush on McCain and willing to do anything to hang in there to hurt Romney and hope he gets the VP nod from McCain.... its sad state of affairs for conservatives!

Response

I believe you've missed the point. The "conservative cat is out of the bag". To insist, at this point, that what remains is not good enough won't cut it is too little too late. Many of the same criticisms you direct at McCain could have been directed at a majority of the Republican Congress from 2000 to 2006 either by commission or by ommision, the result was the same.

Not to memtion the corruption and the fact that Senator Craig is still there, not forced out by conservatives. Weak! You want to talk about weak look first to Congress, then look to the President who may have started out as a conservative but long ago abandoned those principals. Conservatives! What Conservatives.

There was one in the race early, Duncan Hunter and he got zero support. Then Fred Thompson who just could not cut it. We need to live with what's left.

I don't want you to drop your values but I do want you to understand that a fractured Republican party will insure a Democrat in the White House and there should be no more overiding "value" than keeping Democrats, and especially these Democrats out of the White House. If your enflamed by McCain can you just imagine President Clinton.
