Comment on: The War for the First Amendment

An Introduction

I will have a discussion with you...

...first, please define "marriage" for me.

Get back to me when you are 40

Xaris,

Give me a break. At 18, you are not a journalist; you are an aspiring journalist, at best. (Based on your spelling and sentence structure, you need to do more than aspire, but I digress). Grownups aren't afraid to let people know what they think.

Also, your comment on marriage was interesting, since you are not old enough to have a valid opinion on the subject. I have been married to the same woman for 39+ years; none of them was miserable.

Finally, your comments about patriotism reflected your naivete. I lived in a Third World country for 2 years and saw how the majority of the world's people live. You must experience that to appreciate what we have in America ... and how much we have to lose. I refer you to my latest column in the American Chronicle: http://www.americanchronicle.com/articles/64985.

You are right in one sense: everyone is free to express an opinion, but not all opinions are of equal value. Take a couple of decades to gather some real-life experience to inform your opinions, then offer them.
