J.D. is not one to do much philosophizing. He just lives according to the Conservative philosophy. I appreciate the careful attention J.D. always accords those of us who venture into the Alchemy of the meaning of "IS." That's his strength. J.D. Listens and attempts to understand.

But J.D.'s great gift is taking the essential innate and making it work objectively.

My greatest compliment to J.D. is my concept of him as the epitome of God's platoon sergeant.

We wouldn't have continued beyond December 7, 1941 as a free nation and exemplary republic if the American Sergeants had not defeated Hitler's Socialists and Tojo's Imperial Socialists.

J.D. and Sergeant Stryker have so much in common.

"Stay down it might be a Jap trick," Sgt. Stryker told his platoon.
