My two cents

I would just like to add my wifes thirty five years as an RN in the birthing unit at a local hospital. She gets angrier than I when she hears the lies NARAL and their ilk put out in the media. In her thirty five years, even before the great advances in medicine arrived, she has never been in a situation where a baby had to be terminated to save the life of the mother. This may sound incredulous to even hard core pro life people, but I swear it is true. With lawyers chasing OB?GYN Drs. out the door faster than med schools can produce them is creating a major problem in hospitals nationwide.Until something is done to collar these lawsuits that have no bearing on negligence of any kind from anyone this will continue.Already malpractice insurance for OB/GYNs is triple that of most Drs.and double that of even other surgeons.Hospitals always settle out of court to keep the appearance of negligence out of the news.Lawyers know this better than any other thing in life. They do Lexus/nexus searches for the slightest chance that someone may have brought the patient orange juice when she wanted ginger ale.And it frustrates everyone to no end because lawsuits literally this pathetic are settled without a fight. This is what makes insurance premiums go up,then rates go up,just like every other commodity. If hospital administrators could have a spine implant, the nr. of suits would plummet along with premiums.
