You seem to be pinning your hopes on the winner of the election winning with a rather small percentage of the vote. I don't think this is in the cards.
In order for Ron Paul to have any significant impact he will have to get a huge amount of write in votes since he won't be on the ballot.
American voters are too lazy, ignorant and stupid to do so.
A new party is the only answer in my opinion.
