The Palin Objections

Sanity, as usual, you do a beautiful job. It is somewhat (somewhat?) exasperating to hear arguments like the 'stay home and bake cookies' line, but people have a right to express their views, outmoded as they may be. My column today touches on many of the same points you make. Alaska is a tremendously important state -- for oil, for natural gas, for foodstuffs (seafood NOT from China), and eventually for water shipped by huge pipelines to states in the Mountain and Coastal West. Sarah as a mother? The kids seem to be terrific, which might breed some resentment by stay-at-homes whose kids are something . . . less. There are new people coming into the Movement, perhaps several this week. It's not exactly creepy I hope but I do feel close to Sarah and her family. I wish I could figure out a way to bring in some of my favorite bloggers, namely Sandra and Sheila. Tell them the "dragnet" is out. :-)
