That said, my ONLY problem with our backing out on the missile-shield system in Eastern Europe is that one POTUS was reneging on a promise made by his predecessor-POTUS.

I would close our bases around the globe, get our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and return all of those troops home. I would disincentivise having congressmen vote to sustain bases in their states. The focus would then start at ground zero to reinvent the American military to protect and defend America against all enemies both foreign and domestic. (our borders included.)

He lived "Talk softly but carry a big stick", he and Ross could have been brothers.

Of course our _resident believes in aplogizing loudly and carrying a big carrot.
