Catholics In Name Only

I just saw your post

and I could not agree more. Well said.

Best of luck with your blog.

truth

It is not just "Catholics in name only" that are the problem; it is just about all of Christianity which is the problem because everyone believes and does whatever is right in his own eyes. Some ignore the historic apostolic faith of the Early Church; some the Bible; some logic, and all ignore living by what Jesus taught. What just about every Christian lives by, whether or not they will admit it, is the belief that as long as you live a basically a good life and believe that Jesus died for your sins, then you are saved. Catholics believe the proof text about Peter's confession, and Protestant Evangelicals believe in the proof text of the new birth, but Jesus emphasized in every Gospel the need to die spiritually, to lose your life for Him, to deny yourself, pick up your cross, and to follow Him, that is, to hear and do what He taught. He said that the Rock that we are founded on is to hear and do what He taught, to make disciples by teaching them to observe all His commandments.
