Ok, we marched, Now what?

Well Jack, I'd say...

...the next move is theirs. Obviously you can't expect to get president Obamas' attention, he won't even go on FOX much less recognize the people who marched in these gatherings. However it is now time to see how our representatives respond. Did they hear the voices and heed them or will they simply play lip service and try to buy time through the election cycle.

Personally my money is with the house so to speak, I'm betting on lip service and buying time, but then I'm sarcastic and cynical.

Ray

It's hard not to be cynical, when our president tells us he doesn't want to run car companies, then proceeds to micromanage car companies.

That's just one example of many.

I do agree, a lot is up to the politicians, but we can't sit idly by and wait for them.
We need to start taking control when and where we can, and that includes every elected office from dog-catcher to President.

Obama wants a top-down government, we need a Bottom-Up rebellion.

We start locally and work our way out. :o)

Jackpine

I agree whole heartedly, get involved in everything to do with public officers, teachers atc. When it comes to prez election though, we need to focus on the party of the candidate I think, because it's possible for Obama to win again if pour vote gets split up into several parties and several candidates. We don't need to hand the left a win as with Ross Perot. WHICH means we'd better be very involved in the pre-primary process and in the primary election. We must put pressure on the RNC to support solid conservative candidates. Of course if a dream ticket came along in say the Libertarian party that a guy just knew smelled like napalm in the morning, then gopher it; but otherwise...

Great stuff here Jackpine!

MArched, now what?

Great post and really needed. We all must keep up the pressure and momentum right into 2010 AND THEN 2012. nOW IS THE TIME TO PLAN ACTION NOT RETREAT. gOOD JOB

Good one, JP

I've got an upcoming post that will make a suggestion - I need to finish fleshing it out first.

One of your points is important - we need to do things to maintain their attention NOW. If we expect to influence members of the House and Senate to go against Owe-bama, they must have the fear of losing in 2010 put in their hearts. And waiting until after a healthcare or Cap and Tax bill will do little gtood. We need to put fear in their hearts NOW so they WON'T allow the godawful bills to pass.

Are You Kidding?

People who went to that demonstration did more good than I ever would have believed possible. I am completely jealous! The Dems are coming unglued with this HealthCare debacle. They know where the fire is these days. They know that for every one of those people who went there were ten more stayed home and are shouting down the Obamunists. Even in my red commune of a district (proud to send Henry Waxman unopposed to represent the Delta Smelt in Congress) there is mucho unrest.

In martial arts

When you are fighting for your life, if you let the enemy breath, you will die.

This, my friends, is the fight for our freedoms. Do not slack off.

Great post.

Be involved, stay involved,

never quit, never give up. If we slack off, we'll lose the fight to take our country back. When you go to war, you go to win. We the people are at war with our government. We can't get soft.

Good work Jack.

Jackpine

The socialist movement got here through decades of continued pressure, i.e. getting and staying involved. They started by monopolizing the workplace, universities and as an extension public education. They now permeate the media, congress, the executive, and to a large degree the judiciary.

Staying involved may be the conservative understatement of the new century. There is little choice less we surrender.

I've said, iterated and reiterated that

I believe that America is toast. I've said, iterated and reiterated that I'm fighting because I hope that I'm wrong.

WHEN, not if, the "healthcare" bill comes to the floor (and it'll be a weekday, not a Saturday like 912), if there aren't 5-6 million vocal patriots surrounding the Capitol, my hope will perish.

Get Involved.

I got the message and that is the ONLY message we must obey and do to reverse the Marxian maggotry that has infected our country.

The only thing these filthy lizards have is our wealth [concentrated mostly in old white folks] and they will come for that with 100% inheritance taxes and reduced health care.

They do this in Africa by withholding DDT and offering the mosquito nets.

Zero growth, anti-capitalism, sloth, sodomy and drug addiction are their eternal goals.

rycK

Totally agree

Jackpine--2010 is almost apon us-the momentum must continue there is NO time for idleness. I herard Newit Gingrich say that next year may be our only chance to take back our country--America that is still free!

Jack

My next to my newest blog had your points amplified. We must stay engaged on every level because lib Dems never give up. They just change their tactics, names, ala ACORN and SEIU, and go for more funding , more interference and more taxes and spending under another rubric and lie. They con us every which way. That is why we must go on and the RNC must spend the dough it gets from its BASE on not only candidate recruitment, but voter registration especially in the Indies, Reagan Dem areas. Drop my my latest on the UN friend. Thanks.

I'm a bit hamstrung right now

since I'm over 1000 miles from home, but come springtime I will be back in Texas to GET ROWDY!

AfterShock

I agree with you.

Chances are, the best candidate in 2012 will be a republican, that is if the party ever gets it's collective head out of it's butt. And I do mean Collective.

I'm afraid the repubs still haven't learned their lessons, especially when I reently heard that the florida repub party booted out a couple candidates for being too conservative.

I call myself libertarian wit republican tendencies, but if the repubs can't get their poop in a group, maybe it's time for a replacement.

Call it the TEA party :op

KevInFl

Thanks.

I'm not saying everyone needs to run for office, or even actively campaign, but everyone can do Something.

It can be as simple as writing to your senators/reps and reminding them that they work for Us and repeating until they get the message.

Garnet92

I agree.

We have their attention, now is the time to turn up the heat.
Write your congresscritters/and senators, and get your friends and family to do the same.

If they complain they don't have time or don't want to get involved, Just remind them that the Germans didn't want to get involved when Hitler pulled the same stuff. Look at how well it turned out for them.

skep41

I agree that the march did a lot of good.

It was the proverbial 2x4 pside the head for the elitists in congress, and a kick in the pants for the silent majority. They now know they're not alone.

But, we have to keep things going, or folks will just go back to their comfy couch.

Joe

I agree.

The old line, Never hit a man when he's down is BS, that's the best time to hit him, he can't get away.

Now is the time to crank up the heat, and remind the idiots in DC that They work for US.

Bobbie

Couldn't have said it better.

Thanks for all you do for the cause. :o)

INTHENOW

Yes, it took them decades to build up the support structure for their takeover of power, they just needed the right "figuehead" to pull it all together.

They put all their hopes and dreams on the head of a Neophyte from chicago who in 8 short months threatens to topple the whole left-wing house of cards.

Is it any wonder they're resorting to the race card?

They're scared sh!tless

drpete

I have to disagree, of course i'm an optimist.

We will face some hard times for the next couple years, but I don't believe we're toast.

The march on 9/12 proved that America refuses to sit idly by, while obama "Hope and Changes" us out of existence.

It's not gonna be easy, but nothing good ever is easy.

We've been mocked, ridiculed, ignored and told to shut up.

Which is why we'll Win.

They've already shown their ace-in-the-hole (the race card) We're holding a full house.

rycK

Yes, I agree 100%

They're coming at us from all sides, and there are a myriad of ways to get involved.

Join the PTA and complain LOUDLY about leftist control of education.

Join a loacal TEA party group.
Or just porganize your friends and family to write their congresscritters and remind them that We Surround Them, not the other way around.

We're battling literally with the forces of evil here folks, there's no reset button, we win, or we perish, it's that simple.

Pen Captain

Agreed.

Now is the time to use the momentum we have to keep snowballing support for America.

rycK

Yes, you're right, the democrats are an isidious bunch, they're like water, they'll hang around and look for any inpoint sized chink in the armor to get back into power.

Kruschev was right, the communists are very patient, if they can't beat you, they'll get you to Join them.

To do this, they stopped calling for communist overthrow in favor of "replacing the bridge a brick at a time".

They went from a quick overthrow to an incremental approach.
It's been remarkably effective, and would have continued if the democrats dind't misread their mandate in Nov.

They thought the win meant they could pursue their wildest dreams, Then America found out just how Wild they were.

They are braiding the rope they'll soon hang themselves with.

last post to rycK

should have been to FinalRac.

Temporary brain cramp (temporary?)

Crawfish

Considering the fact that you spend all your waking hours either defending America from her foreign enemies(your day job), or Hacking off her enemies on the inside (your blog), I'd say you have a valid excuse for not being More involved right now.

You sir, are a Great American Patriot, thanks for honoring my little blog :o)

This is what the march did.

This guy is going down. CNN’s Presidential report card is finished for bo’s second 100 days. In the first 100 days he had 16% of the people give him a D or F, his national average was a B. This time 52% of the people gave him a D or F and his national average was a C-. The drop at the top was also huge, were as 70% had given him a A+ to B- score the first 100 days, only 39% did the second 100 days. Now we have to remember this is CNN so can we assume that the libs are turning on bo? Or can another persuasion be attributed to this; the right is rising up in the libs own back yard. The “We won’t take it any more” people are speaking out. Either way bodes badly for the libs in 2010.
What a drop.
You can also see how CNN skewed the report card by adding A+, A, A-, B+ ect., and just having a D and F option. If these two options had been segmented out he most likely would have gotten a D this time around.
There was also a drop in Facebook poll from 34% D or F to 39% D or F. This poll gave him a C+, but if you look closely they skewed the poll for the second 100 days by changing the scoring procedure from the first 100 days. There was also a drop in over 30,000 voters from the first vote. This shows me that the people that supported him are losing interest. Most young folk will not waste their time of a fraud.

God Bless America

good stuff Robert

Thanks for the info, it proves what I have already suspected. :o)

Seems the American people still don't like being sold a bill of goods, and this admin definitely qualifies there.

But we can't get overconfident, it's gonna get worse before it gets better.

Thanks for dropping by. :o)

Great column, Jack

And very true.

The fight against evil is a neverending battle. We may win the current war, but the forces of evil will only hide in the shadows and wait for their next opportunity.

The advantage we have right now is the forces of communism have become emboldened enough to stand up in the light of day for their cause. This could either be a triumph for them, or a grave mistake.

Judging by all the people waking up and making a stand, I would judge it to be a mistake for the commies.

It's gonna take hard work, but we need to grab those b*stards and put them back in the shadows. Hopefully we will have learned our lesson that we need to keep a constant vigilance on them to keep them from emerging again.

Every generation has its struggle; let us not shy away from ours.

As GunnyG said, "Let's Roll".

Now What!

Well said. Our posts are parallel and seem to rise out of our fear of a return to apathy.

We must still contend with those party-loyalists who will support the GOP into a hole in the ground it that is where it leads them, but we must wake sufficient number of conservative minded folks to stop this Health Care thing now. Otherwise, anything else we do is for naught.

Jack

"The old line, Never hit a man when he's down is BS, that's the best time to hit him, he can't get away."

Best post I've read in a while.

Boot on their throat. Finish the job with a double tap (metaphorically speaking of course) and don't look back.

We've done well. But it's not anywhere near where we need to be.

We have to keep the heat on by being vocal and refusing to be intimidated.

And by backing conservatives in the primary's. No more RINO's and no third party idiots.

Expectations should be real. No die hard flat taxer's. It has merit but it is a loser right now. And for you people who support a Ron Paul, no disrespect intended, but now is not that time. The guy says some good things but he is best at muddying the waters. Same with the flat tax. You need a lot of power to accomplish something that big and we are no where near that. And a Paul type movement is the sure way to disaster. His ideas take way to much juice also.

If you live in a safe district and have the means, spread a little dough and support around to concentrate on removing RINO's in other district primary's.

And if possible, try to avoid the local professional pol who has spent years playing games to move into position for a Congressional or Senate position. We got that with Dina Titus in my district. First she wants to be Governer and after losing decides she want to run for Congress. Well which job do you want?
Oh yeah! One on the public dole. And chances are they already Eff'd up on the local level to be where they are. The things at home they've accomplished are probably nothing to crow about. Remember, if possible.

Great blog Jack.

I'll check with you again soon.

RUN FOR OFFICE

The R's have proven to be as faithless to their base as the D's are faithful to their socialist agenda.

If want a real change regular Americans have to run for office. Especially in the primaries, of both parties.

Curtal Friar

I agree, now is not the time to let up.
But we don't want them just in the shadows, we need to discredit marxism to the point where they go so far underground, they don't see the light of day for a generation or more.

Of course, we don't have to do much to discredit them, they're doing a fine job of that all by themselves. :op

Now is the time to start finding conservatives to run and replace the marxists on both sides of the aisle next year.

TheAdjuster

I agree 110%

I'm personally searching now for a conservative who can replace RINO Dave Camp who has been in congress way too long and has a bad case of Beltway Disease.

We need to purge the RINOs out of the party, and replace them with Bright Line conservatives, who offer the people a Real choice between them and the marxists.

Marxist lite just aint gonna cut it anymore.

Can ya hear me McCain?

Eugene

Did you climb inside my head when you wrote your post?

I couldn't have said it better.

No more socialism-lite, no more growing big governemnt at a slightly slower rate than the other guys.

America wants a Real Choice.

If the GOP wants to survive as a party, it's time to abandon your special inteest supporters, and listen to the Actual People they represent.

If you're a RINO, you're Outta here.

ROK

I agree.

I'm considering running for local office myself, if I can find a way to run my business, and the office.

I've often said, we could replace all 535 in the capitol building with radom people off the street and we'd be better off.

The career pols Gotta go.

I Respectfully Disagree with Ray

The next move is not theirs, it is still ours! Keep on the offensive, take the energy from the March, bring it home and use it to motivate others. Jackpine, you are right. Get and Stay Involved. Remain informed, write letters, emails, phone calls, letters to the editor, local groups and issues. Complacency and waiting for someone else to do it are our real enemies because I truly believe we are the majority, but we must remain silent no more!

Alice

Pick one and Get Involved.

Grandma loves your blog site. Thanks for the comment which might have been even more sarcastic than Grandma's orthopedic Shoes. Like most of the stuff I read, (not yours) the smell is exactly the same.
