Is the Obama culture and his gospel relevant enough for you?

Obama has nothing to say about the realities of sin and the role of the state to restrain lawlessness. His gospel is that hope comes through the state, but hope for some means tyranny for others. He demands an every increasing percent of taxpayer income for an ever increasing class of dependents.

Obama has cut ties with our Reformation heritage; the foundations of American liberty are under attack and the culture, including many of the religious, embrace him as a prophet of truth. What happened to our country?

The words of Christ have lost their authority among us; they have been exchanged for traditions derived from the autonomous wisdom of men. We debate about having civil discourse over the issues of abortion and the normalization of sexual perversion. And those that support this lawlessness are seen as the peacemakers, while we who oppose it are seen as the intolerant and ignorant.

We cannot expect anything from the Obama culture except more lawlessness, but those among them who profess the Christian faith would do well to read Psalm 2. This nation still belongs to the Ruler of nations. He is able to do as He will with this nation, including dashing it to pieces like a potter’s vessel.
