"You Can't Drill Your Way Out of This!"

I have heard Congress say that "the oil companies have millions of acres of land in leases that we should use first." Now with all of their "can't do nothing" attitude. What if the oil companies said, "fine - we will use the land that we have." What would Congress say?
We need to have five thousand more committee meetings to discuss this.

I am sure I am wrong on this, but I think Congress is waiting for any drop in price and want to continue to committee us to death. When the price drops they can say, "we don't need to drill." It was the oil companies...OPEC...etc..
