Iran

So the administration gets to act on faulty intelligence for 3 years ("the military option is not ruled out in Iran"... R. Cheney,Feb. '07)
and gets credited when the same intelligence is proven to be false (again)?

1. So this NIE is right, but the others were not? If they are so unreliaible, why do you believe this one? Doesn't this just mean they are 4 years behind in terms of what is really happening?

2. Are NIEs considered part of an Administration or not? If so, why is no credit given for corrections? If not, why the criticism?

3. And if Iran did halt their nuke weapons program in 03, as did Libya, do you just chalk it up to coincidence?

4. Why would the military option be taken off the table? Read the report. They are still in a position to start it again, if they haven't already. The IAEA has been obstructed for years, especially recently. FRANCE is ready to go to war over it. RUSSIA is warning them to cooperate. This is not a "Bush Administration" thing...
