Why would you go through the hassle of second or third offenses for someone who is not even supposed to be here anyway?
The lax federal attitude coupled with American opportunity is what encourages illegal immigration to begin with. The double fence is a good idea, and it seems to me that anyone who doesn't like it must have an agenda other than stopping illegal immigration. No offense Gramps!!

I just don't believe the fence will ever be built because of the costs...it is an unfunded mandate. Who is going to pay for it?

We keep hearing about the "jobs Amerians won't do". With that as backdrop, any talk of a weak or flagging economy is poppycock.

When the economy is bad & people are hungry, Americans will get off their duffs & do any available work.

We have a generation of X-box/iPod/chat-room teens who aren't forced to work for their perks. Get them behind the brooms, lawn-mowers, mops, paint brushes, etc...and there won't be so many jobs drawing illegals.

Only part of the solution, but important!
