I hope you are correct. I pray you are correct. I am backing and supporting McCain/Palin JUST TO GET SARAH IN THE SENATE.
It was hard for me to support McCain. I know his family. They are from Carroll County here in Mississippi, even though I have never met John McCain.
This election I believe will be a "watershed" event in our country, no matter which way it goes. If McCain/Palin win, I expect the big cities to experience riots. If O'Vomit/Bide-Your-Time win, we could experience a revolution.
If McCain/Palin win, I expect the War on Terror to slowly "eat up" Al Queda, Hamas, and the other terrorist groups. I also expect the US to start drilling any and every where.
If O'Vomit/Bide-Your-Time win, I expect the Middle East to explode in 6 months to a year. I also expect a 2nd "Great Depression" by the 3rd year of his term.

A fellow veteran sent this to me:
Hot on the heels of his explanation for why he no longer wears a flag pin, presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama was forced to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.
According to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171, During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart.

"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides," Obama said. "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a sym bol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might salute it."
WHAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this could possibly be our next president. I, for once, am speechless.
He better take sides..........if he is not on the side of AMERICA he MUST NOT EVEN BE CONSIDERED for the office he is seeking. We do not need a man in office that will not salute the flag. The world knows how to sing, what they need to know is that the USA will defend what that flag stands for.

I'm glad you are supporting McCain because of Palin.. I think she will be the new face of the Republican party and do her best to change things back to abiding by the Constitution. She's going to have a rough time but she's tough as nails.
I totally agree with your last sentence. We are going to face the 2nd great depression with BO. We have got to stop this radical, left wing, Marxist.
Last night in an interview with Hannity who was interviewing Palin and McCain, McCain said he's going to visit Anwar with Palin. That is good news too. I think she will be able to talk him into drilling there too.

I started hoping again today. The polls are inextricably interwoven with the MSM and they want a Bam Bam win, though I can't for the life of me figure out why.
McCain just might be able to pull it off if he keeps punching. Too many Americans are too angry about this financial flap to take it lying down.
My ballot for McCan/Palin is well on it's way to Maine right now. Not much more I can do except talk and write.

Of course he don't want to pledge his allegiance to the United States. He hates the U.S.A. and his allegiance is with the Muslim terrorists! He only wears the pin now because so many Americans complained about it. Now he is trying to project the image he thinks we Americans want to see. And empty words he thinks we want to hear.

I'm not voting for Obama, but I thought you would like to know that the quote you posted isn't true...he never said it. It originated from a satire, political columnist John Semmens wrote about why Obama didn't have his hand over his heart in that picture we all remember. He offered a mock explanation as a joke and people ran with it and started spreading it around in emails. Check out snopes.com if you're interested in reading more, but I thought in the name of fairness, you'd like to know that.

In the debate and a couple of times recently, I’ve seen McCain speak where he’s alluded to BHusseinO’s involvement in Freddie & Fannie, but none of the Main Media picks it up. Is it because they have already chosen FOR US??? Just like the last TWO elections…Kerry & Gore? Think where we’d be today if either or both of those nutcases had been in office! Now think about Obama wanting to wave the flag, and I’m NOT talking the American flag, I’m talking the WHITE flag of surrender. He would have us up an unsanitary dysentery without any means of motivation before his first year in office! For those who don’t understand my vernacular that is up Sh(oo)t creek without a paddle!

As Hannity says, journalism is dead in this country. And that's a fact.
Sure BO will wave the white flag of defeat and send our soldiers home only to have to put them back in Iraq when all hell breaks loose if he does it too soon. He has no understanding of the situation.
And I hate when he keeps talking about getting bin Laden as if that one man being caught would solve the whole terrorism problem. Now how short sighted and stupid is that?

If what I think might be happening is indeed happening, McCain just might win by a landslide. It's simple crowd psychology. People want to be on the side of the winner. The MSM has been pushing Bam Bam as the winner...........
There are also sad tales of harrassment coming out now about people who have been polled. I wonder how many folks who were polled by telephone didn't want someone with their phone number (name and address) to be in a position to mark them as racists or worse and lied about who they intend to vote for. Things could be very interesting when the ballots have been counted.
There IS a reason for the actual vote instead of relying on polls.

I know I wouldn't want someone coming to my door after having said NO I'm not voting for him. Although Gos would just blow someone away who did that. He takes no prisoners.
It would be deliciously funny if McCain actually won in a landslide. I believe that happened when McGovern ran. Nixon won in a landslide because McGovern was just way too liberal. Now we have the worst liberal in history running.

Yeah, isn't it a sad situation. I've been following the voter registration fraud pretty closely because ACORN has been heavily involved in OH where I used to live. It infuriates me. And the dem sec of state was going to do nothing about it. But, I believe a judge ordered some kind of injunction. I didn't hear the details. But, there have been 65000 unchecked registrations and votes on that day you could register and vote in one day. Utter stupidity.
This is going to be one of the most fraudulent elections ever. I hope ACORN gets investigated and run out of Dodge. They are nothing more than a leftist radical group having caused trouble all over the place.

Get Sarah to attack his health plan!
People need an education about the ramifications of much of Obama's agenda. His health care plan is the conception of soacialism in American society. These blind followers in unions do not relaize that his proposal passively diminishes their collective bargaining. As BO said everyone that "doesn't like their plan can join the same plan that Senator McCain and I enjoy".
Problems:
1. We taxpayers foot the bill for that one.
2. Health insurance is a free enterprize, the US has 2 national plans Medicare and the Veteran's Administration.
3. His proposal will devastate health insurance companies.
4. As proposed, employers will be encouraged to offer substandard health plans so tha employees will opt for the government plan. This is simple business economics.
5. This reduces the labor unions bargaining clout for health benefits, which is always a point of negotiation.
6. The plan infringes on state's rights, since each state legislates their insurance.
7. Health care insurors are both nonprofit and proprietary. Propietery plans are public entities with stockholders their loss will once again effect the economy. Nonprofits are the generators of health insurance.
8. The financial debacle will impact will the economy and employment.
9. It creates a further disparity in healthcare for Medicare and Medicaid recipients.
10. This plan will create astronomical financial and tax burdens for his precious middle class (us).
I wish we could get a grass roots campaign to get this message out! This reality might change minds!

With today's technology I would think that for voter registration by typing in the SS number they would be able to tell if you are already registered to vote and where. They should be able to tell if you are dead or old enough to vote. You should also be made to have picture ID.
When you show up to vote your SS number should be logged and entered into a data base. This would also stop people from voting more then once. If it's found out afterward that you voted more then once you would then loose your right to vote in every election afterward and spend time in jail.
I know the Dumbocrap's would not like it saying it would stop some people from voting. If run the correct way nobody would lose there right to vote, once.

Yeah, the dumbocrats are the only ones who don't care about ACORN because they know all the votes gathered by this org. is for their candidate.
In some states your SS number, your DMV, your address, are all verified when you vote, plus a picture idea.
Now, in OH all these things are supposed to be verified, but on that day when you could register and vote in one day, the sec of state refused to have them verified. Ah, did I mention she is a dumbocrat. A judge has ordered an injunction on her, but she is refusing to abide by the judge's order, to have those 65,000 votes brought in by ACORN. What's that tell ya?
So, OH has all these ACORN voters they trooped in by bus and taxi that no one has any idea whether they are real voters from OH.

He did take the gloves off earlier this week, now he seems to be backing off. I'm not sure I understand what is going on there. I hear there are conflicting views from his campaign mgrs on how to handle this.
He'll probably lose so you won't have to worry about him being pres. Instead you can start concerning yourself with higher taxes, businesses shutting down to higher taxes on them by BO, national health care which will cause a crisis in this country, having your 2nd amendment rights taken away whick I see the Orphans don't seem to be concerned about although the leader of the Orphanage wrote article after article about Rudy taking guns away.
Now that BO does plan to take our guns away there seems to be no outrage over that. Strange indeed.
BO also plans to have "brown shirts" to control the masses. He has already talked about this inner security force bigger and better than our military.
He is already in the process of trying to shut down free speech by filing suits against ads by the NRA. Right now he is pursuing that in Ohio.
So pick your guy and be happy.
I don't give a shiite anymore or what other people think. There's a lot of nut jobs on TH who are willing to allow BO to take the WH without thinking of the consequences and just go for it. Never mind that the whole country, innocent people will be hurt over it. So let the harm begin. I'm in an area where they wont' come to get me. But others will be in definite trouble with BO.
We're armed and will stay armed. If BO tries to confiscate our guns, Gos and I will go down fighting. I'd rather not live under a Marxist government anyway. So I'm ready to go.

They say "we don't care how people vote and don't try to persuade them. B#ll Shite! Just like the Libturds they deny their own actions when everyone can see for themselves what their doing.
And like the Liberals, they keep repeating the same thing where ever they post even laying out the same list of stats comparing McCain to Obama. They ignore the 'good' about McCain.
(because they see no 'good'.) At the same time, they ignore all the 'Bad' about Obama and never talk about him!
I too, remember when they were screaming constantly that they thought "Rudy's going to take our guns away!" Now here is a Muslim, that the terrorist leaders want in the White House. An American hating radical with a wife of the same bent. Who has stated that he is for taking away the guns because they will not be needed by the average citizen. His (stronger than our military) security force will take care of you. Yet these guys don't say a thing about it. After all, that may make McCain look a little better!
One of the stats being used is that the NRA rates McCain as 'C'.
What they conveniently fail to tell you, is that the NRA is throwing it's full weight behind McCain. And asking all us NRA members to vote for McCain in and effort to stop Obama.
They completely ignore Obama's the long lists of terrorists connections and Communist background. Saying, (like the Liberals) that's fear mongering!
As a Vet I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution and the United States! As far as I'm concerned, those that hate McCain to the point of allowing this Marxist enemy, Obama into the white house are traitors to the Constitution and the U.S.A.!

McCain is a very decent man, who has taken his lumps in life but now he must remain even stronger for his sake and our country's.
McCain must get tough. He must clearly drive home the differences between him and obama in the ISSUES. He needs to stop promoting socialist causes and programs. He must advocate and explain why conservative methods and policies in governing and economy will reap greater strength, security, stability, rewards and advances for our country. As a leader, McCain must stand firm in his beliefs and sound policies if he is to be taken seriously by other nations and not be perceived as a doormat.
Remember: The condemners of anything good, moral, ethical, decent and most importantly, Godly have descended upon this world as locusts on a corn field.
These demons seek to destroy anything that would get in the way of their ultimate goal, to establish global order, global religion or anihilation of such, and global redistribution. If the US, Israel and other free nations should be absorbed and/or destroyed their success would be that much sweeter, however not for us. Therefore our goal is to be vigilant, pray, fast and meditate on God's word.
Be forwarned: Persecution and tribulations will intensify but we must stand firm in our faith and our actions.

Great quote from Cicero. It sure fits into today's politics.
I heard earlier someone in Obomb's camp say that it was alright for Obomb to talk badly about McCain, but not for McCain to talk bad of Obomb.
Did I miss something somewhere? Has our King spoken? Wait, we don't have a king, yet.

We do know this "Black Messiah" is anti-American. A Muslim and a Marxist with a background steeped in Communism. With the intent to overthrow our government!
Why on earth would any true American allow this Marxist pig to take control of our nation!!!?? That is pure stupidity!
There are those that say "they want to teach the PARTY and the country a lesson. So they will let the country burn! Well, my fondest wish is if these un-patriotic fools allow that to happen. I hope to God they burn with it!

It seems there is a lot with ACORN and it has been going on for years. I have seen so many of these stories regarding voter fraud in various states, which happen to be the swing states. Hey, imagine that!
And don't forget, remember before we did that wonderful $700 billion bailout, we had the housing bill Dodd/Frank, you know the one that was passed in August. The one that was to stabilize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. That worked well! And also to help with the bad mortgages. Well, ACORN got money when that bill passed.
I would like to see an investigation of this group and starting right now would be nice!

Was watching Fox news
awhile ago. They were talking about the very biased MSM being behind Obama 100%. And that through there efforts, they are practically "Picking Obama up and carrying him over the goal line."
And it struck me that the Liberal MSM does this and gets away with it. So I began wondering about how 'We The People' can make them pay for their crime. They may not be breaking any actual laws. But I feel it is a crime what they are doing to the American populace by trying to control the outcome of this election.
One way I thought of that might be affective. Is to create a mass movement amongst the people and boycott all products advertised by them. And send letters to each individual advertiser telling them exactly why we will not buy their product as long as they advertise on these biased stations.
If enough of us do that perhaps they would feel it where it hurts. In their drop in sales and consequently, profits. This should make them drop advertisements. Thus making the biased news organizations loose a great deal of money.
Any other thoughts about this out there?

And now it turns out that teachers in NYC are demanding to be allowed to wear Bam Bam buttons in class under the First Amendment. And are going to court over it, claiming that it's a freedom of speech issue. I'd like to see it come under a separation of state and religion defense. Don't they claim that Bam Bam is the messiah, or some such? They'll probably win too.
But G-d forbid a nativity scene should be displayed in the city square.

Now how do we get ourselves out of this situation if BO is elected? IT seems we have to fight somehow, but there are too many people who won't do so. They will just sit back and take it.
All my life I never thought i'd see this in the States but the commies/socialists have been planning this for a very long time. There's an article on TH about it and how this has come about, how in the secret of night they have kept stealing our rights away and area bout to come to fruition with Obama taking the WH.
Yes we can pray that this does not happen, but we will no doubt have to fight

I think McCain was trying to keep this out of his rallies. It matters not what not what McCain does the Obama camp has used race as his mantra ever since he entered this race.
No one is allowed to say one damn thing without it turning into race with Obama. He has made this whole campaign about race. Not anyone else. He's played it like a fiddle in order to keep people shut down. And this is all before he's in the WH. Just wait until after he's elected. People will start disappearing.

HE wants it bigger and better than our military. One has to wonder what this inner security force is for other than to shut down those who speak against him.
He already has thugs out to shut people down. It's been reported in several areas of the country. Like Barone wrote The thugocracy of Obama.

IF OBAMA IS ELECTED BEWARE!!!
I saw this ad and thought what a naive person who has no clue to life and what the USA faces. I am a newly retired US Army MSG who served 30 years and covered many presidents and wars.
I am blessed to be alive and healthy with a family. This Obama is either the anti Christ who will start Armageddon or he will socialize the USA like a Stalin. The problems with oil stem from a democratic congress that has blocked our economy from self containment. The latest round of financial falls all stem from a democrat congress of greed and corruption. Obama is like Al Capone reincarnated or is truly the anti Christ...voting fraud is nationwide and my son and family have had serious talks about leaving the USA and my country and flag as I knew it will no longer exist...your pay will taxed over 50% and the Russians are coming with serious nuclear threats.
Obama is not a warrior or a leader and does not have a clue like the publisher of this article...If your christian and love life pray for a McCain victory if Obama gets in ....life as you knew it will never be the same socialism is neck and neck with communism and the enemies of the USA want OBAMA....god bless you all!

For the future of our Republic, it's time to temporarily set aside our principles and do everything we can to keep Barack Obama from the White House. The Clinton/Gore adminstration was nothing to brag about, but I believe Obama as POTUS and a Dem controlled Congress will spell a disaster, that we may never be able to recover from the consequences. So my conservative friends, which is more important for the common good? Sticking to one's principles and letting the country go to he** in a hand basket, or swallowing one's pride and do what's best fot the country.

I think McCain is caught in a no win situation. If he says anything at all about BO, he immediately will get called a racist. I called this a long time ago watching the Hillary/Obama primary campaign. Everywhere you turned, all the comments and statements Hillary or Bill made were immediately turned into racism. It's no different for McCain.
Now I'm hearing on TV today that the Obama camp and his surrogates are calling McCain a racist like the old days before integration. It's just their way of keeping the focus on racism and avoiding the truth about Obama.
McCain probably has no chance to win this election anyway. Too much fraud is going on in all the swing states. As you know in OH, the dumborat sec of state is refusing to even have the ACORN registrations checked.
It's all been rigged from the beginning if you ask me. Obama is the biggest racist we've ever encountered. It's in his books how he will fool whitey.
It's always been stacked in his favor. So what is McCain supposed to do? No matter what way he goes he loses.

If one is really standing on principles that is one thing, but if one says they are standing on principles out of hate and revenge of someone that is not standing on principles. It's a narcissistic ego maniacal effort to destroy someone like McCain. This has nothing to do with principles. It is more like a child throwing a temper tantrum because they didn't their way, whatever that may be.
The argument that McCain is just like Obama does not even make sense. If one cannot see the differences between the two, I would say all perspective has been lost and blind hatred has taken over all logic. In fact i see no logic in that argument, but deep down insidious hatefulness especially when there is no consideration of what people will suffer and what the country will be turned into.
There is plenty of evidence out there about what Obama is really about but is totally dismissed by these kind of people as fear mongering. Once again there is no logic behind any of this.
This is not standing on principles, this is standing on one's hatefulness towards one individual at all costs to our country and the people in it.
For forty years this country has been undermined by socialists/liberals and we have not been able to change one piece of damage that has already been done. I'd like to see just how the damage of an Obama presidency is going to be changed with all the dems in control. Good luck is all I can say. I am hoping that too, but my hope is waning. I think you are right when you say there are not enough people who recall what communism is like. So many children today are being educated by public schools who are teaching socialism instead of reading, writing, and math. Is it any wonder our children are falling behind? And I think it is deliberate. The children are not taught the basics, but are being turned into little rote socialists unable to think for themselves. And if you can't read, how can you learn the truth about the past communism that existed. I wonder too if the history books have been all changed as to not "offend" any communist country and have the truth told if they even teach history anymore.

He tried so hard in 04 to get Kerry elected, but Kerry was not palatable to people. This time he has a great candidate in Obama, a black who nobody can say a word without being told they are racist. Plus Obama puts on a good act while all the time hiding his real feelings about our country and his hatred of whites.
It's all in his books out of his own mouth. No one even has to make up any of this. I think the dirty Chicago pols and Soros all banded together and Obama is their puppet. In my mind it was all planned out. And, Chicago always makes sure they get who they want into office. I see no difference here except it's now on a national level.

Having "Principles" is a relative thing as you know. I think most people have a certain principle that guides them throughout life. And I guess one could admire the "stick To It" attitude.
But that does not necessarily mean I admire the person. It depends on the kind person person they are. Their intentions and approach to life in general. As you recall, many a dictator stood on their principle.
I, like you, live by my principles. I was raised by a hard hand in a world of men that "you're word is you're bond!" A handshake is better than any signed contract.I live by those principles today.
I also have three primary principles that will never change. And would die to protect any of them. They are #1 my country. #2 my family. #3 My Honor.

Obama's National Security Force
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set," he said. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded."
Barack Obama Speech July 2, 2008 Colorado Springs CO
------------------------------------------------
If I could get each of you to think just 30 seconds about this.
Barack Obama said: 'civilian national security force'.
Civilian - Would MOT include military or other Law Enforcement agencies.
National - Would NOT recognize State Boundaries.
Security - Security for what?
Force - This word usually denotes power and authority.
Why does Barack Obama want a Civilian Security Force?
1) Just as powerful as the Military.
2) Just as strong as the Military.
3) Just as well funded as the Military.
What will Barack Obama have this 'Civilian National Security Force' do?
Help in hurricanes or other disasters? - we already have the state National guard.
Some have said 'The National Guard is in Iraq and Afghanistan' but Barack Obama plans to have them home less than halfway through the Obama administration.
If America ignores this threat of an Obama personal 'Security Force' - I believe America is doomed.

From Dreams of My Father : 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'
From Dreams of My Father: 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'
And FINALLY the Most Damning one of ALL of them!!!From Audacity of Hope:'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'
Is this just hollow rhetoric? I guess the "principled" conservatives will ignore these comments just like the MSM has done when they punish the Republican Party like they did in 2006.

1. Obama, if elected will only have two years to really make an impact, as I believe him to be a lame duck from the start. Then, the next election cycle will begin...
2. If it's the Supereme Court worry, the two potential retirees will only get us more status quo, so we'll be no worse for the wear.
3. The Economy is going to get worse before it gets better and I don't believe Ovomit will be able to get what he needs to be the hero.
Just my two and still holding out hope.

Well, I have to ask, What are you hopping for? Just what are the Positives your looking at?
My purpose is not to undo the "Brianistas" training that you may have recieved nor attempt to change you're mind.
But I do disagree that allowing Ovomit into the Presidency would in anyway be good for our country. He is far worst than any of the Liberals such as Kerry. And is a Socialist intending to establish his many Socialist programs as soon as he is elected.
I heard on the news this morning that the Democrats already consider Obama elected. And have a long list of things they are going to do. The very first item on their agenda is to make the "Fairness Doctrine" law. The second item is to place the ban back on offshore drilling. These are not my words. They are from Harry Reid and Pelosi with Obama's approval.
As to your #1 statement.
You of course can believe what you want. But I believe it does not matter how bad Obama is or how much the American want him voted out. Will not make one iota of a difference! He will more than likely be there for the full 4 years and perhaps 8. There is no way they are going to turn loose of their Socialist power once established to that degree.
I personally think this man is far too dangerous to our country. I don't want him in the Presidency two seconds. Let alone two years.
Perhaps you and others think you can just vote him out if you don't like him. Well that's your opinion and all I can say is Good luck!
The only Hope I can see in all of this, if The Republicans hang onto the White House. But of course, that's my opinion. That's why I'll vote McCain/Palin.

The "hollow rhetoric" are the words you hear over and over on his campaign to fool the public. Should he make it into the White House, he will function according to the words in his book.
I have read for myself the words in his book. And have posted many times where he has stated. "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
He says OPENLY! That he will stand with our ENEMY! Yet there are those that ignore this warning and will still LET him into the White House or flat vote for him! Good Lord! Common sense should show anyone the danger here.

The question to be asked is, what will he do with them? We all know he would never use them no matter what happened. Would he destroy them or give them away to Muslim countries. Maybe he would give them to Iran, after all didn't Carter give Iran to the terrorists and now they need nukes. Just think how peaceful the middle east is now thanks to Carter.
If he gives them to Iran I wonder how long it would be before there is no more Israel? With Israel gone who will become the next one they blame for all the trouble in the middle east. Not themselves they are the victims. They remind me of the Dumbocrap party it's never there fault.
Just think we will be attacked with our own missiles. Thanks Obomb. But don't worry some how it will be Bushes fault, as will everything that goes wrong under Obomb.

Just stopping by to say hello :-)
On Obama And nukes, he as already said he is for non proliferation and will likely begin talks on dismantling, sadly he will not use the required "trust but verify" of Regan.
So economically destroyed, then subsequently unarmed in a dangerous world, he will realize his goal of no preconditions before meeting with outlaw regiemes, He'll have no other choice. He will sell it to the American People as he was the victim of this thing or that thing. But in the end America gets hosed and perhaps attacked via bomb or dirty bomb or some such other equivalent.
As for Brianistas. They are men and women of conviction as are all conservatives, I disagree with their premise but not their desired outcome. They have some logical points, as does our side. Demonizing any side of the argument is pointless, same with demonizing Libs or Obama for that matter.
Record, facts and truth is all any conservative ever needs to make their case.
And should Obama win, then what? will we blame it on a few wayward conservatives, or the vast majority of the middle electorate, or better yet on voter fraud?
We as conservatives are in danger of becoming the angry right, regarded in most circles as are the angry left. better that we agree to disagree. vote our individual consciences and then work together begining nov 5 to ensure more conservative candidates.

I know you are sitting on the fence trying to play both sides. I have not demonized anyone. I seriously disagree with certain people who I believe do not really have principles but blow hot air around as if they know everything through their crystal balls while we are facing one of the most dangerous times in our history.
While you may think this is a game, I don't. I am not willing to play games with the system right now. Go ahead and play those games when there is not so much on the line ( you gave the points yourself), but I am not willing to do that when people of this country are at stake and that means liberals and conservatives both. I've got liberal friends as much as conservative friends who all are going to suffer under an Obama POTUS. People with small businesses who are going to be run out of their business with the extra taxes put on them. They can barely hold on now with the taxation they bear.
To me and Gos that is the most principled position to take, country first. I could care less about parties.
And for certain people to make comparisons that Obama and McCain are alike is ridiculous if not down right silly.
I am not in the mood for this crap tonight and don't come over here accusing me of demonizing people.
I've got a lot better things to do with my life than worry or demonize certain people. My plate is full of troubles right now and I don't need a frickin lecture by anyone about what I say. This is free speech right now, at least until Obama takes over. Then there will be other things to worry about.

That's going on in OH right now. The sec of state is a dem. In the 06 elections the Ohioans threw out most of the repubs because the governor was corrupt. Talk about throwing out the baby with the bath water.
Now OH is facing more and sleazier corruption than it's ever seen.
The sec of state who is a dem I mentioned won't allow these ACORN votes be examined. She's using some excuse that her software program can't handle it. BS is what I say. She's in with the dems and their fraud to take OH. I can tell you having lived in OH all my life that the Ohioans I know would NEVER vote Obama in that's why they have to have so much fraud going on there.
When Ron and I took a trip up to OH last week we never saw one Obama sign, just all McCain/Palin signs.
Now up in Cuyahoga County where Cleveland is you'll find the dregs of the earth up there who will sign all these fraudulent registrations and then go vote a dozen times.
And yes we'll see more of this as Obama funds the ACORN group once he's in. The repubs got it out of that bailout bill but now we're seeing on Fox that as soon as BO is elected all these fraud groups will get more of our tax payer money so they can keep winning elections. You haven't seen fraud until the entire government is run by the dems completely with no checks on them.

Further I assure you that was not my intent.
I am "sitting on the fence" in a way. Perhaps not as you think, I am a Mac supporter have been since he won the nomination. I have made the arguments for him many times. both here and on other blogs including my own.
I am sorry there are things going on in your life that amount to the stress evident in your response. I hope that they are resolved to your satisfaction in short order. If not, I pray that the strength you obviously have remains unfaltering in this time of your life.
My fence sitting is foresight, This country is in danger, and not just from an Obama presidency. My comment was to that point. As conservatives we are becoming rapidly outnumbered in the elctorate. To fraction within our own ranks serves to marginalize us all. I have said as much to the Brianistas. My "crystal ball" tells me we are in trouble regardless of who wins. Our constitutional freedoms are being shredded daily, America as a country has lost its way, the people cry out for leadership, But they don't know what that leadership should look like or act like.
God bless you, and good luck to all of us on the right.

so by implication they have no self respect? or they are not conservative?
This is lunacy, a house divided cannot stand. I am not talking about who wins an election. I am talking about the future of conservativism in America.
We are rapidly becoming the "angry right" some on TH have even adopted that title with pride. Am I the only one that sees the danger inherent in that moniker?
Brian you have folks here that are preparing for other conservatives to attack them if Obama wins, Might I ask what their defense is? I probably know... They are simple noseholders that don't understand the dangers of a Mac presidency and the benifits of an Obama prsidency... to conservatives.
I support everyone's right to their opinion, but it does no good to demonize anyone, particularly those of like mind. Those conservtives that support mac are principled and for other conservatives to suggest otherwise is folly.
I have but one question, what happens Nov 5? Regardless of who wins what are conservatives going to do, If mac wins are we going to fight amongst oursleves further fracturing our weakend postion in the electorate? if Obama wins are we going to suddenly unite, or cast blame on those who "opted out"?
I find it sad and dishertening to say the least that conservatives, of all people, who are prone to rationality can not agree to disagree, but feel the need to fight, name call and demonize people of like mind.
This country is in danger from without and within and we say we have the answers, yet we can't even hear the question when we fight amongst ourselves?

I accept your apology.
For myself I do not care who people vote for and the consequences of either candidate will fall upon us all.
Now, what offends me is I've seen on Brian's site that he is going to go around telling all of us who voted for McCain, "I told you so" when McCain disappoints us.
I think that is over the top and does nothing to heal any fractions between the differing groups on how they will vote.
Besides that it is of the utmost arrogance for someone to drop down on people's blogs and say "I told you so". It is childish and gives one the impression of a less than mature grown up person.
What does that accomplish but a ego out of control?
I may not agree with Brian's positions or his gang, but I don't go up there and argue with them or tell them what to do, or that I'm going to blame them for Obama's debacle if he becomes pres.
All I know is that I don't trust Obama or McCain, but I do know McCain served his country and whatever he does, I believe he does out of his convictions, not because he wants to poke his fingers into conservatives eyes.
Obama does what he does because he is a Marxist/socialist which is unacceptable to me.
Now, another thing, the mortgage bailout that McCain is proposing is not such a stupid thing. This was done during the depression called the Home Savings or something like that. It helped stabilize the housing market in a really bad situation.
If that housing market does not get stabilized we are still going to be in constant trouble.

I certainly agree with you that as conservatives we are becoming outnumbered in this country. How to stop that? I don't know.
I'm an oldster at 62 and I wish for the times when bad was bad and good was good. I grew up in a Catholic school for 12 years and was taught morals, ethics, courtesy, the dignity and rights of others, and got a damn good education besides.
Now today, I see kids getting a bad education who don't know what I know and I learned these things so many years ago. I see our kids being indoctrinated on a daily basis in things I never would have imagined could be possible.
The only way I see things turning is for conservatives to teach their kids at home the rights and wrongs that are not being taught in public socialist schools. And considering the liberals are probably aborting themselves into extinction, maybe we have a chance of becoming a majority again.
I just don't know. All I can say is I pray for things to change one day, but it doesn't look good.

I'm sorry you were saddened by my take on your comment. I may have just read it wrong and took it the wrong way. I know you are for unification, but I don't see it much among conservative circles. There is a lot of arguing going on about who has principles and who does not. I for one do not like my principles being questioned as I am a very hard right conservative.
So I am likely to hit back after being pushed too hard and I don't like some of the comments I've seen about those of us who are voting McCain not having principles.
I've never been attached to any political party. I go on what the man has to offer in accordance with my principles. This year there is not much to offer with either men. This has got to be the worst choice I've seen in years.
But, I do know one thing, Obama stands for all I hate, especially socialism and abortion. Not only abortion but allowing babies from botched abortions to die. allowing a an innocent to die cold and alone speaks volumes on the man's character and is ultimately one of the primary reasons I am voting for Mac as well.

I find myself in a very strange situation over here. I'm a registered, dues paying member of the Likud (Netanyahu's party) and have been for years.
We are having municiple elections on November 11, and there is no way I can vote for the local Likud candidate. He's a wimp. There are 10 or 11 local parties running and so far I have a longer list of who I will not vote for than of who I will vote for. It really is crazy because on The Five is number 9 on a list that I won't for. Even crazier is the fact that he won't vote for the list he's on either!
It was a much easier choice for the American ballot. For me it was pretty much a no brainer.
Damn tootin' I voted McCain.

When do you get to vote for Bibi? or do you have no say in that? That would be awful.

You really need a score card to take into the voting booth with you, so many choices. Your voting system would never work here, to many choices, it would take some people hours to cast there vote. When we only have two candidates to chose from, I've seen people take five minutes for that tough choice. I think they go in the booth and take a nap.

I don't know when we'll have a general election. The Slave party made a coalition deal with Livni and now it's up to Shas, one of the religious parties. I hope they'll tell her what to do with her bribes, but doubt it. One thing yuo can count on over here is that the religious parties all can be bought for a price. Not so much as one ideal to split among them.

That's one of the advantages of being a gimp in a small city. I don't need a score card. I know all of them personally.
Our system would never work over there. I'm not even sure it works here.

Knowing all the politicians has to make choosing one very hard.

Actually it makes it much easier. You know which ones you can trust and which ones are patholgical liars (most of them). It's not knowing them that makes it harder unless they have a record which most newcommers don't have.
I'll probably end up drawing straws to decided who to vote for locally. There's a vry short list of three that I'm ok with. In other words, who won't be a complete disater or end up as convicted felobs like our last mayor.

I come from a town that had about 42,000 people in it and like you I knew the ones in politics. I never got to the straw pulling point, but like you I knew who would get things done and those that wouldn't. So choosing was easy for me.
Once they got into office they tended to stay as most people realized they were working and doing a good job for them.
Sometimes a rotten apple would get elected but they only ever had one term. Then they were gone.

I grew up in a Navy/college town of arounf 20000 and knew just about everyone because we were in business. I now live in a slightly smaller city and know everyone because of a small incident with the National Union well before I gimped out.
Maybe, just maybe, things will sort themselves out and I'll know who to vote for by election day!
