However, the average citizen of the US has already or is getting close to figuring all this out, even without the good sarge's letter.

Sgt. Pendry hasn't missed much. Unfortunately, flag officers like General Casey, USA, appear to be
asleep at the top. If I got his message on the Sunday talk circuit, diversity seems to be more important than the health and safety of the troops.
Pendry's assessment of the threat is also spot on. The two front war is not Iraq and Afghanistan; the two fronts are over there and over here. Good get, J.A.
