I heard other day on a talk show (I cant remember who) but some one brought up a line from a Greek Philospher who said There are only two important questions in society: Who will teach the children and who decides what they will teach! That is so right today. The Libs studied this and took over the education system and control who and what. Thats why Ayers and others are now teachers and professors

Perhaps it has something to do with being Thomas G. Ayers son. You know, friend of Mayor Daley, board member at Northwestern and Chairman and CEO of Commonwealth Edison, just to mention a few of the boards he served on.

No trick to it really!

I never heard of that program! What a great idea! And do we need that type of person in the schools!

No wonder we are having so much trouble. I read all the time about the idiocy going on in schools ...while I am sure there are schools doing a good job...but with young people being taught to be teachers by these people it is a wonder it isn't worse.
But maybe it is a growing problem?

Well, that's an eye-opener!! Another cliche...it's who you know! Good grief!

That's where all the radicals are in the universities teaching our kids to be radicals. I suggest we not send our kids to these colleges.

I think that's why Obama wants to give college tuition to all the kids so he can get them all radicalized and eventually we'll be a completely fallen government, if not before that.

and passed the highest level mathematics/Parxis II, I am now wondering if I want to lower my reputation by being a teacher. Don't let my wife (who is a teacher of 28 years) know this; but if Ayers is a professor/teacher, do I want to be considered one of his peers?

I mean I was only doing this in case the economy "tanked". I got a very high score on the mathematics test (even if it was mostly Calculus 4th semester which engineers seldom use).

I might have to re-think this plan. THERE IS NO WAY AYERS IS ONE OF MY PEERS. Although I wouldn't mind being one of his grave-diggers.

Our daughter did home schooling more than 18 years ago and we wondered about it at the time but until she could get them into a Christian school she wouldn't send them (at that time to Calif schools).
As time went by we realized she was way ahead of the times and wiser than we realized.
There aren't enough non-liberal colleges, however. We have a whole generation growing up under farleft liberal teachers and will pay for it in the years to come.

We need people like you in the schools!! No matter what you would not be considered a peer of Ayers!
We need people there who love our country, who believe in our Constitution as written!, and believe that government is better the smaller it is.
I wish I had realized when I was teaching just what was happening to the country. i would have been a better teacher and produced better citizens. I had no idea at that time that the liberals were working to take over the country and thought the 60s were just a fad that would go away.

Due to an situations that were going on in my life, I had to take incompletes last semester in 3 classes. One of thoses professors was a raving liberal lunatic! He came to class every day talking about politics, I was the only adult student in the class and he didn't like it. The main reason was because every political bias he tried to brainwash them with, I set them straight! This wasn't even a political class! They are foaming at the mouth crazy!! I'm sure he would have signed for Ayers, in fact he may have been one of them!

This is ONE reason I wanted to put my son in a private school, because it is filtering into the public high schools and under as well!

I read reports of just such actions very often and it is hard to convince your children that they are hearing propaganda just at the time they are trying to break away form their parents and make their own lives.
It is getting into high and elementary schools because the new teachers have been taught by these people in college.
Most people can't afford to send their kids to private schools and don't have the ability to home-school.
It's a bad prognosis for the future.

Good post emjayne. I believe that all these Liberal/Radicals should be driven out of all the schools. We, as a people, are fools to have allowed our education system become saturated with those who believe in and teach Communism and Socialism.

Ghost, It's funny, my Brother-In-Law is a scientist/physicist for NASA (retired.) He remarked awhile back that he would not want to lower himself to being a professor at these universities.

We need to get all the Liberal scum out of our schools AND Government! The question is How! We can't Vote them out. We can't petition them out. We the people mean nothing anymore!

You have hit it exactly. Now that they are all installed there is no way to get them out.
Teachers get on tenure and are secure for the rest of their lives.

Ayers is a piece of trash. I remember when the Townhouse blew up with his friends [they were making bombs] in it, in NYC.

He is a friend of Obama, the Media gives him a pass with the "I was 8 years old" B.S.

Yup. and over 3000 teachers, professors, and others signed a letter supporting him! Ugh!!
