Five Reasons Log Cabin Republicans Should Support California's Proposition 8

WE are watching liberal courts take over

the basic nature of the family and marriage. Same sex folks in partnerships have legal rights. But calling such partnership a marriage is a silly game of changing labels, not substance.

Families are the stable unit of democracy, the place where men and women commit to live together and to raise and nature their children. May include God in their covenants to honor and cherish each other...

San Francisco used to be called The City and it was a great place to shop, live, work, be a tourist, etc. Now it is the city to quickly exit after work as it is now a haven for people making a statement about alternative lifestyles.

Marriage is ordained by God in Genesis. It is supported by all the great religious traditions. Marriage is a great "Growing Place" for all ages. And there is nothing sweeter than an elderly couple walking hand in hand after a lifetime of learning and growing together. Maybe the smiles on their faces when their beloved grandchildren come to visit are a close second.

So what ifmarriage is under attack by liberals and same sex activitists! No reason to help push the legal status of marriage under the bus in our cultural confusion. Fight back with your vote.

And no reason to fall over backwards in an effort to be "fair" to same sex partners. The laws are already fair and we are a very tolerant society. Some people duck down, hoping all this fuss will blow over and the laws won't really hurt society.

Time to wake up and quit pretending the nice Supreme Court knows whats best for families and marriage.

Tell your neighbors you also want to be FAIR to marriage. Vote for Prop 8.
