Evil Bush's Plan

Your "facts" are wrong

Apparently you've forgotten (or conveniently ignored) the fact that no one in the world who was in a position to see and/or collect Iraq intelligence at that time, including democrats on the intelligence subcommitte, France, Russia, China, etc. tried to refute the idea that Sadaam was hiding weapons of mass destruction and/or seeking to amass more. In fact, both John Edwards and Hillary Clinton, two of your lefty favorites, agreed with the president's position at that time and were pretty outspoken about it.

Now you can claim that the president hid all of this information from the world, fooling everyone with lies through some vast conspiratorial network, and there are enough "free-thinkers" out there who might even believe it, given enough time to ruminate about the subject between bong hits. But such is the conspiratorial thinking that causes me to make fun of you with my one last independently thinking brain cell. Your sort of ill-informed conspiratorial accusations are, in fact, precisely what that post makes light of!

On one hand you talk about how dumb the president is, and on the other you give him credit for setting up this all-powerful criminal institution that can fool the world.

Frankly, I believe that about the only thing the president has gotten right is his Supreme Court nominations (Harriet notwithstanding), and I believe he, as a president, has been out of his depth for much of what he has done. But I don't believe that he has done what he has done for criminal reasons or for personal gain, as so many of you and your ilk claim.

By the way, I wasn't for the war and stated as much to those who knew me, because I felt that it would create a mess and de-stabilize the region. At that time, most of America approved of the war, including most of your lefty "free-thinkers".

Now that we're in the mess, people like you and your "free-thinkers" want to pull out leaving a huge vacuum, not even bothering to consider the civil war and genocide that would ensue or the millions of lives that would be lost or affected. Of course, your fall-back/excuse to that is that they already have it as bad as it can get. That's not even close to the truth. You need only look to Vietnam to see what will happen if we pull out without leaving a stable power base in our place. For that matter, just look at what happened to the Kurds in the early 90's when we backed away from helping them in their uprising against Sadaam.

A likely scenario for that region in the event of our pullout would be for Iran to puppetize the region (not good at all for America), the worst case scenario would be for a terrorist state to arise.

Afghanistan was a very poor country, and their hosted terrorists managed to devastate the U.S. economy with 4 jet planes (unless, of course, you're one of those who believe George Bush or the Jews plotted those attacks, too).

Now think about a super-funded terrorist state that has the second largest oil reserve in the world. Don't you think that they just *might* be able to cause a little more damage to the U.S., the fate of their own people notwithstanding?

In my opionion, we now have no choice but to stay and stabilize Iraq, at whatever the cost. If we don't, our children will be fighting a more deadly war because of wreckless politicians and our national A.D.D.

But apparently you "free-thinkers" only live in the now, and tend not to conceptualize events that may occur a decade from now. Perhaps independent brain cells can only live in the moment, hmm?
