Hugh Hewitt's Pre-Season GOP Rankings

HUgh Hewitts ranking are just ludicrous.

The reason I think they are ludicrous is because Hugh claims that this is not his personal endorsement but rather how he sees it playing out.

PLEASE. He has McCain in 6th place behind Brownback,Thompson and Hunter for Pete's sake.

That is just totally absurd. I'm no big McCain fan but he has about a half dozen things going for him. He has the money and the organization...more so than any other candidate. He has the media support. He is the assumed frontrunner. He is strong on the GWOT. He has some actual conservative credentials on things like spending.

Despite his wart the money organization and media support alone is enough to garantee that he is going to be a major fron runner. Assumign he is in 6th is just asinine. It smack of Hugh's similarly absurd positions like supporting Harriet Miers because no true conservative could get senate approval.

Also Hugh pretends that he isnt endorsing Romney...spare me. He practically drools every time he says Romney's name. PLacing him as the number one guy when I think realistically the best he could claim right now is the number 2 spot (and probably really is in number 3)is just further evidence that Hugh has jumped the shark.

Agreed its Hugh's preferences for the

most part, but I doubt Rudy is his second pick.
