Oxymoron: Christian Homosexuals

I'm really disappointed, although not surprised, that no one in the public eye has dealt with this. Romans 1:27,28 puts the matter to rest. You can't approach the Bible with scissors and paste. The Bible condemns homosexuality. Period. There is no such thing as a Christian homosexual. It is possible for a Christian to struggle with that sin, as all Christians struggle with sin one way or the other. But that is a far cry from someone who claims to be a Christian and also claims that homosexuality is legitimate behavior.

If you are, you missed my tongue in cheek use of the oxymoron. As you know, an oxymoron is a drastic contradiction of terms. To claim that one is a Christian homosexual is to say the exact opposite by the terms. You are right that one can struggle with sexual temptation but to give in to the lust is actual sin and is not tolerated by God. There are serious consequences when we choose to deliberately disobey the word of God.

I was just lamenting the apparent lack of consistency with some who claim to be Christians and the equal dearth of people standing up to this. Where is our Athanasius?
